tannehill is a leader. He made that ridiculous 4th down play against the ravens that SHOULD have won the game. and then there was that absolute god-like throw against the panthers that SHOULD have won that game too. Get us to the playoffs tannehill. please.

He has real maturity. In addition to the stuff about Richie he has been quick to take responsibility for problems whether those issues should belong to him or not. Poor line play, receiving issues, he has never blamed them and when he justifiably could have. Gotta respect that.

The team rallied and came together, tempered in the fire of the adversity of...having to defend your creepy *** hole offensive linemen whom was not really all that particularly meritorious under the best of circumstances?

Is this really going to be the story arc of the season? A ham-fisted sports cliche even more sloppily glommed on to real life events?

To see this team where it is in a season chock full of non leadership from the majority of the staff he has worked for this season, Tannehill has done nothing but impress me in 2013. Yeah the kid has made some young player mistakes but I'd bet every penny I've made this year that there are very few vets who would have fared this well with the mess and drama that Ryan has had to deal with this season. Miami Dolphins should be damn happy they are the ones that were able to draft him. RG3 anyone?

Once you have a Qb who can do what THill has done the last two years, things become much much easier, playoffs this year would be kick ***

Tannehill continuing to play at a high level for the next decade is more what I'm hoping for tbh.

Rallying us to the playoffs in yr #2, breaking the Fiedler barrier, these are the things I care about so far...but those are tactical issues, not strategic, on the front Tannehill doing even more in 2014-2020 or longer is what matters

It was a PR defense; not only for the players in the locker, but for the franchise.

Having the maturity to recognize (or possibly having been told to recognize) the importance of showing the media the supposed strength of this organization's fabric through the national embarrassment will possibly be Tannehill's finest hour as an NFL player; save a Super Bowl MVP trophy.

When he took the podium immediately after Philbin amid the media frenzy following the Martin/Incognito story break, it showed me exactly what this franchise thinks of him. He was thrust into being (and IS becoming) the veritable 'Poster Boy' of the Miami Dolphins whether he liked it or not.

Tannehill has certainly earned some stripes with the way he handled the inevitable intrusion from the media. Through it all, he is progressing as an NFL QB.

Distracted? Almost certainly. Wavering? Steady as she goes thus far.....

I get it. You're tired of hearing about the Incognito/Martin saga. This should not take away from how Tannehill's even-keeled demeanor is probably one of the catalysts to the team gaining momentum and vying for a playoff spot.

I think this was the writer's intention.
