I think we should be concerned about this organization that seems to have a hard time putting players in the best possible position to succeed. Bush, Marshall, dansby, ellerbe, and Jordan come to mind.

lmao. More like in the world of over-paid, prima-donna athletes that have been coddled and pampered ever since they were thought of as "being a special athlete." Whether in junior high, high school, college, at some point they were taken under someone's wing, and treated differently. Likely by a coach (or coaches). Every step of the way getting perks like gifts, girls and money (not to mention all the attention). As the competition got greater, those that weren't quite as special as they were thought to be got weeded out. Ultimately, those that ended up making it in the NFL have a feeling of being superior to the average person.

Now, factor in the huge money available as a result of the network contract, the NFLPA, and endorsements. Add the agent factor (lawyers really), and what you have is a totally ridiculous pay scale that the average NFL player feels they are entitled to. IMHO Dansby's no different than the vast majority of today's pro athelete. He just voiced it. 30 years ago, you were talking about 100's of thousands of dollars being a lot of money (which, it still is). Today, it's multi-million dollar contracts. 20-30 million guaranteed. All to play a game, for our entertainment. It's so far beyond ridiculous, it's not even funny.

But, that's on no one other than us, the fans. We're the ones that pay the ridiculous ticket fees. We're the ones tuning in at home (thereby generating ratings which draws the advertisers, which pays the networks, which in turn bid on the TV rights). We're the ones buying the team gear, and the products being endorsed. We are the ones feeding the machine. At least that's what I've always thought. Little did I know all along it was the Republicans. What an idiot I am.

This is why some of us feel we need to clean house & hopefully get a FO that won't make the same mistake as it's predecessors did for a decade +.

Thanks, Dansby for the great laugh.

Its not like we robbed him of guaranteed money. He does realize this is why there is guaranteed money, and not all money is guaranteed right?

He is having a career season with the Cardinals. Obviously much more motivated there than he was here. If he'd been as motivated here, he'd still be here, and would't have to ***** about dollars.

Exactly. Jeff Ireland is a Grade A *******. I don't want this team going forward with this type of reputation. This is the same guy that asked Dez Bryant an inappropriate question during an interview. This is the same guy that threw his "mentor" under the bus to keep his job. This is the same guy that threw his "friend" under the bus by courting a coach before the current coach had been fired. This is a guy who overruled the current coach on a decision to get rid of a player who was going to bring undue attention to the organization in a negative way. I mean, is there any doubt that Jeff Ireland, knowing how he works and how much of an a$$hole he is, has told Joe Philbin that he will have to make due with what he has been given?

The sooner we fire this guy, the sooner this organization can progress and get the Parcells stench off the organization.

PS. He can take Dawn Aponte with him.

You had me going KB but I want to keep Aponte. She does a fantastic job cap wise from what I have seen. Offset language is an issue we don't know if she's being told to worry about or if she's doing that on her own.

She still comes from the Parcells school of thought and credits him as one of her mentors.

Lol Dansby you're a moron and definitely a disappointing Dolphin.

The sad part is I'd bet there is more self-entitled millionaire players in the league than not.

I know family's personally whose children aren't even getting Christmas gifts because their parents are too poor to afford them.

People like Karlos Dansby are despicable human beings.

Parcells is one of the most successful and respected men in the history of the game and a HOF inductee, but I have to warn you, introducing facts to KB will only make him produce more BS so go easy with it.

Eh that's just not true with regards to KB. With respect to Parcells the point he wants to make I think is that he left us with the silly ginger we have in the front office now. That's reason enough to be mad and forget that we did win the division the year Parcells was here. He never liked Parcells. Ever. I remember debating this with him on FH 6-7 years ago. I'm a Parcells fan, always have been since his time with the NYG. IMO part of the reason he left though was because he probably felt the game changing and wasn't able to adapt.

One thing I've learned about KB...His opinion isn't always popular but it's right more often then I sometimes want it to be. You tend to be very optimistic which isn't wrong by any means (it's a dolphins board after all) but not everyone will see things the way you do.

There would've been plenty left on the table for his kids if his fat *** didn't eat it all in 2011.

Obviously Miami didn't drop enough coin into his bank account b/c he clearly looked like he spent that offseason slingin' donuts at Krispy Kreme..... and occasionally some into the customers' mouthes.

Name me a Parcells executive that has had success outside of Belichick?

    Mike Tannenbaum? Nope.
    Jeff Ireland? Nope.
    Scott Pioli? Nope.

It's funny how he can say this stuff now only because he's absolutely balling and should be in the DPOY talk. If he wasn't playing this well, no one would give two sh*ts about it. The NFL is weird that way.

It's because he used to play for Miami, not the fact that someone lit a fire under his a%$ because he wasn't performing. Like that glass half empty thing.

Tannenbaum made 2 AFC Championship games. That's certainly a level of success. How many championships has belichick won without Pioli? That works two ways. Also coaching wise Coughlin, Belichick among at least 2 others I'm forgetting were good coaches.
