Note sure if this is the right spot for these types of notices - if not, school me and apologies in advance.

Cameron Wake will be on Jim Rome during 3rd hour (2-3pm for EST), just a heads up to fellow phins fans.

what's been even more entertaining is the constant Shanny bashing on Jim Rome, what with the "red Lobster" talk and "sunbathing with a piece of tin under his chin".. I about lost my lunch on the tin comment.

I can go ahead and do that.

Jim Rome will ask questions, leading to awesomeness and fire breath emitting from the Kraken's mouth. Jim Rome will probably be burned up as the heat travels through the Subway Fresh Take Hotline, or whatever it is.

If Wake's in studio, the Kraken will just swallow Rome whole.

I heard a few broadcasts - not sure if he's still my area or not. Haven't heard enough to know much on him really.

Rome can get on my nerves (much like Cowherd) but when he gets on a roll he can be pretty entertaining.

I'll see if i can post some points. Something at work will likely blow up at 1:55.

Kraken is on now. They talked about the Pitt game but I had to leave.

Lol... I hate Jim Rome. My favorite Jim Rome segment of all time was watching Jim Everett ***** him on national Tv.

Rome has never done this to another player since. He damn sure isn't going to bait Wake... lol...

OK this is ALL PARAPHRASE of the Jim Rome interview of Cameron Wake. I'm no secretary but here's the main points of conversation - also may be some typos - i'm at work so i need to get on with it...

    1. JR: lots of praise from rome to start 2 time pro bowler blah blah
    2. JR:last sunday in pitts - what were you thinking with 34-28 lead?
CW: weve seen games like that before and it's not over until its over. It always comes down to the last play

    3. JR:certainly you know better. on last play brown scores - what were you thinking?
CW:we did our job first 3 plays. last play we had to give it all. Thankfully guys in the back did their jobs getting him out of bounds. didnt know initially he was out, then saw our guys on the sidelines pointing out and i had faith in them, then the refs confirmed it.

    4. JR: Miami team handled weather well - what was it like in snow?
CW: I'm from north so i enjoy it. We don't get it much in Miami so i enjoy it. I like the cold weather and miss it down here

    5. JR: What about the Randy Stark groin grab? Seen things but I've never seen a prostate exam! was it over the line?
CW: Everyone knows piles have stuff happen in them but that's a new one and way beyond typical. I'd be disappointed if actions were not taken. That's a player safety thing. The league should take action.

    6. JR: you're not laughing, not funny huh?
CW:It was for a minute but that's a sensitive area, you don't want anything going on there.

    7. JR: sensitive topic handled well. After Tampa loss and Incognito scandle you won 3 of 4. how?
CW. Alot of people said we came together then but we came together back in April. We've been focused on football since then. In the locker room its been business as usual. We concentrate on each week's game and job at hand and try to win the day

    8. JR: must be good leadership to keep that on track, but folks questioned it - Whatcha think?
CW: I kinda laugh myself when folks that never step foot in our locker room try to make a determination about locker room - i laugh. There's been DUIs or domestic abuse by players [in the nfl was his point] and people say there's no leadership, but those things happen. people that never step foot in our locker room can not see whats going on. they have no basis to judge

    9. JR: your back story is amazing. You were un-drafted out of Penn state. Got cut. What do you remember.
CW: Being unwanted in draft at first i was humbled. i decided i was going to do whatever i can to get back in.

    10. JR: how'd you end up in Canada? what about the living conditions?
CW:I never knew about CFL in college. I was oblivious when i got up there, i just saw it as a good opportunity to get back into football. Just had 2 suitcases and clothes on my back, rented basement near facility - no cable, 3 plates, couple fork, rode bike to work and grocery. I eliminated anything that did not make me a better football player.

    11. CW [after follow up question] I was the same player in Canada, no magic pill, i was same guy, i got overlooked and it was my job to not get ignored. I was able to show my skills. 3 years after that i had lots of teams calling for my services.

    12. JR: What was it like when you finally made it back with Miami?
CW: it was like the restart button. I had a team full of linebackers ahead of me in 3-4 - was inactive first few games, had to scratch the bottom the make the team so it was like starting over again. I lived in a hotel, again eliminated anything not helping with football. finally got opp to play and made the most of it.

    13. JR: what was joey porter like when first hot there.
CW: Frustrating at time because i wanted on field. Jason and joey were best players at time. It was my time to learn from best to do it.It played itself out when they moved on and i took the reign. Both those guys were an amazing part of my learning.

Jim Rome afterward - Cameron wake was great, blah blah, so good.

Wake was a little late to the show by the way

emailer says "Wake was a BEAST with BC Lions"

    Love that sh&$..

His ways off the field and how he dedicates his life to his craft should be the template for all things Miami dolphins...

There really is no excuse not to, seeing that your getting paid to perform with your body and all that.

Dion Jordan, OV, and Wake I believe will be working out together all offseason.

Don't think so... this aired around 1992/3 I think. I was in the Air Force and was watching the show at home on cable. Rome had been dogging Everett for sometime, calling him "Jumpy Jim" and "Chrissy". Don't think Everett thought the little b****** would be disrespecting him to his face or on Tv. Rome started right in and Everett called him out and Rome had backed himself into a corner on Tv by running his mouth with the cameras rolling. I thought Rome was going to piss his pants at the time when Everett flipped the table and grabbed him and threw him down. Rome just lay sniveling on the floor as the crew rushed in to push Everett away from him.

Everett is another example of a good QB who took too much of a beating behind bad OLines. Guy led the league for like 2-3 years in TDs, but was hit and sacked constantly. They started making fun of him after a 9ers game for pulling a Farve and laying down instead of taking another sack in a game the Rams was losing badly and he was struggling.

Anyway. Glad we're finally starting to protect Tannehill.
