I cant make fun of him after so recently coming off one of the best catches I have ever seen him make.
That's funny! So basically he criticized a cat guy once (barely) and people started photo shopping him into all these pictures of people with cats? I think the nickname "El Gato" fits his play style. He has phenomenal body control and is great and getting his feet down. And frankly, it's just funny.
Have y'all been watching Hartline In his interviews...he's about to go off any second..lol, you can tell he has more respect for lebatard and none for the dolphin beat guys, for which I don't blame him.
I'm glad you brought this up because I absolutely agree. Hartline is often pretty demeaning to reporters. If they ask him a question he doesn't like he'll basically call them dumb for asking him, in calmer words though. These guys get asked dumb questions all the time, but they usually play along and are respectful. Not Hartline though. It's actually something he's done all his career. I remember in his rookie year he'd act and treat the media like they were beneath him. That's probably my one issue with him.
I don't think Hartline should ever be a face of the franchise. I think there's a ton of potential for embarrassment. I don't think he'll get arrested for murder or anything, but I think he'll just end up saying the wrong thing.
Seriously though, I'm a huge Hartline fan. Don't get me wrong. But there's no doubt he has a very active douchey side.
So a white receiver acting like all other receivers gives him the title of "douchey".....interesting.
I'm white and I think Hartline is a douche. He isn't a bad person like sone other players, but he is a doiche. A lot of players are.
I have no idea how he is with fans. I've never been a fan of the media though so I don't mind him slamming them.
By all accounts that I've heard, including every day people like us from social media that have met him in public say he is a great guy. I don't know where this impression that he is a jerk or a douche comes from. Anyone have stories?
I kinda think he's a cool cat. I've actually enjoyed his input during the whole Martin/Incognito "scandal". To me, he sounded honest and refreshing. I do agree with others that he shouldn't be the face of the franchise, but let's face it, he's not going to be. On the other hand, I think he's definitely a leader in the locker room, and we need a couple of those types.
The "It's Our Time" one should have this for Ellerbe & Wheeler: How did this Hartline/Cat thing begin?
