The Pats only mismatch problem is Vereen, imo. Him alone is a far cry from what they used to have with Gronk, Hernandez, and Vereen all at once. This Pats team just isn't the same. Other than Shane, we have to matchup with two small slot receivers and a few meh rookies on the boundary. Not concerned about manning them up, hopefully we get physical with them off the LOS.

I hope they keep doubting Ridley's ball security, cause he's definitely their most talented runner. Boldin and Blount are not very strong options to have rotating with Vereen.

Feel really good about this week. They've beaten us 7 straight...it's our time to put an end to this and make a statement. We can't keep being their divisional b-tches. Let's go.

    This is a tough one.

Obviously, Brady did not have a fantastic game against Miami in the first one, but that was in NE. His TD/INT ratio in AWAY games is 7/5. He has also been sacked quite a bit this year (I believe somewhere in the mid-thirties). Looking at his last 5 games, though, he is averaging well over 300 yards a game (with two over 400).

So, this is why it gets interesting because, although Brady scores twice as much at home, he is beginning to put up some numbers as of late. He gets sacked, so I suspect Miami will get them, but his recent numbers show that this offense is hitting it's stride.

While, I think Miami's D can (and will) put pressure on Brady, I am suspect in if it will even make a difference. I hope it does, because this Miami team that plays it close every game needs all the help it can get against a guy who is very adept at late-game heroics.

It may sound very basic in terms of Football 101, but Miami needs to not only win the turnover battle, but to capitalize on them with TDs. I do not think there is any other way.

Miami may have turned the corner with their last win, but they will have to come to play this Sunday if they are to win this one. The crowd must be the 12th man, as well.

The football acumen of their staff and the ability to make halftime adjustments will put this Miami staff to the test. From what I have seen thus far this year from Philbin and Co., I am not overly impressed. So I suspect that it will come down to the players. Who wants it more? Was Charles Clay's tackle-breaking TD a sign of things to come? Or was it an enigma?

    Best..Kracken...celebration...ever..

FYI on some inside Kracken info...did you know he doesn't do the celebration after every sack on purpose...only on third down, says it takes a lot of his energy.

Yeah, read it a couple of months ago when it was posted. For him to seemingly take EVERY consideration to better himself on the field is beyond dedication. It's downright beautifully obsessive! Truly a man who takes his craft seriously. Damn fine football player.

He's been down. He ain't going back if he can help it. Glad he is a Dolphin!

Brady needs to be hit and hit often. He gets uncomfortable when he's getting drilled. Miami lost the game in Foxboro earlier this season because they stopped running the ball. They abandoned the run WITH A LEAD and started throwing. Look, I'm all for the go for the throat mentality, but when you're running the ball all over the Patriots and you have a lead and STOP doing what's working you deserve to lose. Whatever Miami finds is working this time should be done over and over throughtout the game. If it's running, fine. If it's throwing all over the field fine. Just do it and don't stop. This coaching staff out thinks itself sometimes.

I think Sherman finally learned that lesson, he has made the commitment to stay committed as long as we are in the game..

We should be able to run on this front 7.

I think the offense will do their part, we just need Coyle, and his guys to step up this game. If we're up by 30 mid-4th quarter I'll feel comfortable. Otherwise, if we get hot in this game I hope they just stay aggressive. Hopefully we score first, and start and finish this game.

We are playing for a playoff spot.

and if your WRs are Collie, Edelman and Amendola, well then you are gonna have problems.

You aren't playing for a title any more than we are. I expect you guys to get smacked around by any of the other playoff teams regardless of this outcome. You aren't nearly the team you were, and you're a few bad calla away from fighting for your playoff lives.

How good was Austin Collie in Indy with Peyton Manning? My point exactly, him and Reggie Wayne made a very potent tandem, don't play stupid, you and I both know that the ONLY setback of Austin has been concussions, as long as he is healthy he is a very good wide receiver, and he is only 27 years old, and back with a top 2 quarterback, great coaching staff and looks to be healthy again. As for Julian Edelman, you are sorely underestimating him, he is ranked 7th in the league in receiving, on pace to surpass Wes Welker's production from last year if he hasn't already, and is making some very good clutch plays and outside the numbers. He is having a career year and looks like he will be granted that extension having hoisting the Lombardi trophy. And Danny Amendola has shown that he can stay healthy the last 4 or 5 games, but hasn't been getting balls thrown his way because of the emergence of Julian Edelman and the presence of Rob Gronkowski. But lets not play stupid, like we all like to do. Everybody knows that as long as Danny Amendola is healthy and on the field, he is an excellent receiver that can do more then just play in the slot. Those are 3 very good receivers that are overcoming their setbacks of injuries and are staying on the field and contributing. And they may not wow you with numbers, but they do wow you with effectiveness, the little things like keeping drives alive, moving the chains, getting the important catches, touchdowns, and everything else to help the offense move the ball. I give you guys credit for your good players, don't discredit me for my outstanding players...

This team this year is resilient, mentally tough, and has overcome some very good adversity. Those are the teams that win championships. Not the teams that wow you with stats but the gritty, scrappy teams.

What if they stay healthy? look at what Austin did in Indy, look what he did against the Saints earlier this season on the last drive, the guy can still play at a high level. And what if Amendola stays healthy? He will get his catches if he does. They are both excellent route runners that I think can get open against anybody, ESPECIALLY with Tom Brady throwing them the ball as opposed to Sam Bradford, who Amendola STILL looked good catching the ball from.

First of all, Brandon Bolden and LeGarrette Blount both have their fair share of good touches, chain moving runs and touchdowns from the goaline. They are very effective change of pace running backs that add power and punch to the rotation. Secondly, if you look at Julian Edelman's stats, he ranks 7th in the NFL and is top 10 in third down receptions and has a good number of plays made outside of the numbers contrary to what you think, he has the ability to make plays down field with his attention to detail in routes and communication with Tom. Danny Amendola has the ability to get down field as well, and what a lot of people don't realize is that on at least 6 or 7 plays he was wide open deep over the middle, as was Austin Collie. They both had some wide open looks where Tom went else where with the ball. I'm sure Bill, Tom, and Josh McDaniels will see that on film and correct that.

I think Coyle will have issues with Vereen in space, because so far NOBODY has been able to figure him out. Other then that pick D'Qwell Jackson had, he and T.J Ward were beat SOUNDLY by Vereen all game. They had no answers for him, giving him a career day receiving. Tom will use whoever he needs to beat you.

That gives me a headache.. I came here with a peaceful and reasonable vendetta but some of your fellow fans on here ruined that.

Vereen is the guy I think give us the most problems. That and we shoot ourselves in the foot every time we play that Patriots. Still man, don't act like Cleveland didn't win 95% of that game. You were scoreless for forever and clearly being dominated. I'll give NE credit for making the comeback but they were hardly impressive against the same Brown team that we beat.
I don't think Sundays game will be as one sided as you are making it out to be. Your just lost your franchise TE (a guy that we really had no answer for). Your receivers are average athletes at best but very crafty and find ways to get open. I'm not sure we can win this game to be honest but we need to so we can shut people like you the hell up. Real talk....
I think we give them a hell of a fight and maybe more but we'll see. Ryan Tannehill needs to play mistake free, Mike Wallace needs to make plays, and we need to run the ball. Our defense needs to show up too...We'll see bro.

Whatever, love how fans use that as in excuse just because they hate a team.. that's pathetic. Regardless of that pass interference call, some great plays were made before and after to put them in position to win. Cleveland still had plenty of opportunities to stop them, and didn't. Just like that long drive with Julian Edelman knifing the defense and then scoring to make the game within 6 six points...

Its funny because normally the tough teams that are great at comebacks and overcoming adversity are the ones to win superbowls. You have not seen a team that blows people out every week to go on and win the Lombardi trophy the last 5 years. Its been those teams that know how to fight, hang in there, pull it out, grind it out, and show some mental toughness, so I'll take this win and take it knowing that we can overcome anything.

Its got nothing to do with hating you guys. I hate the Jets waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyy more than the Pats. The simple fact of the matter, is that your team has benefited from exorbitant amount of blown or bad calls. its not bitterness, its fact. Just two off the top my head have been this year alone and they decided games (Cleveland phantom PI call, to the "swatting" call against us). It is more or less accepted across the country that the Pats get the calls from "Tuck Rules" to snowplows.
