I took for granted that folks knew that, it's why I used the word "liked" instead of like, should of specified..third stringer gonna play now.
I don't think so. I did find their play-calling as baffling as ours at times. No idea why they didn't run the ball more, especially in the 1st half. Their 3 points was the result of just running it down our throats. While I don't think they'd have won the game, it would have been more cocompetitive. Marty Mornhinweg...
I get into this argument all the time. For the life of me, I don't know why people see him as that. I think he's elite like Peyton, Brady, Rodgers, and Brees. I say that because his stats have always been above average with less than adequate protection and a run game - recently - but also because other than those 4 guys, no teams success hinges on one player like Ben. He's a phenomenal player.
He is. He's shaping up to be the gem of that QB class. To Tannehill's credit, he's been much better the past 3 weeks.
Shocked is a pretty strong word. I can't see the Steelers being more than a 3 point favorite. So, the game could go either way. We played the Ravens at least as well as they did. They're 22nd in offense, 14th in defense. We're 24th in offense, 9th in defense. This game, on paper, looks about as much a tossup as a game could be. The only difference is they have home field advantage.
Bill Leavy's officiating crew stole the game from Seattle with their ineptitude. Leavy even admitted later that he personally blew a call that was costly to Seattle.
Do note, no further commentary on the Incognito bull**** either Uhm, yeah, we had no chance I do declare, work for the media at whatever capacity and groupthink and IQ decline is nearly a given
Yep, and FTR we were 3-4 before the media generated fake assed controversy and we are 4-2 since. If this keeps up there will be bullies popping up all over the league.
TBH I am feeling good about their chances of beating NE and winning out the rest of the season after watching them play today.
I was really impressed with the heart the team showed till the last play of the game. We got lucky as hell on that one. We basically pulled a typical bonehead move at the end of the game and got away with it because the other team matched us. We are still the same dolphins just a bit luckier than year's past. Hopefully it continues
Sherman should of not been so conservative on the drive prior..there was really no attempt to score a TD..if they did, the game would of been out of reach..
Deej, it's a great post. I don't know if we're really 'gelling' but I can say this....the fact that Philbin has been able to keep this team together, with all the distractions and issues, the lack of even a HS OL is amazing. My hat's off to this guy, no matter what happens going forward with the Martin bunk... Look, this was a game the stillers HAD to win...it was their season, and despite the near miraculous finish, this team pulls it out.
A questionable call negated a touchdown. Another questionable call negated a deep bomb late in game. There was also a bad call on hassle back for an illegal block during an interview return...How does all of that not add up to a huge impact? How is it not robbery?
It was one of the worst officiating games I've seen. The super bowl is suppose to have the best refs. Sent from my Nexus 10 using Tapatalk
Yeah that last play was friggin embarassing, guys were loafing around like the game was already over. I wasn't too wirried b/c the forward lateral was so blatant and the TD wouldn't have stood anyway but that doesn't excuse the lack of effort on our side.
I started the thread because it looked to me that the team had come together, units were improving, Qb was improving, role players were defining those roles, the coach laid out his expectations, something just looked right on the field..eliminated the steelers, must have a team playing at a high level to pull that off.
Same Dolphins? When was the last time we won a game like that? On the road in December in a snow game against another team fighting for the playoffs? We even put up 34 points. It wasn't perfect by any means but it was one of the most impressive Dolphins wins I've seen in a long, long time.
I agree. About two weeks ago I predicted Miami would lost both games against New York and Pittsburgh. That would have been same old Dolphins.
We really, really, need to look at replacing Caleb Sturgis...seriously..no more mucking about with his 1 miss per gm, IDC where he was drafted.
Yeah im a little concerned about sturgis too. Frankly, im not sure if rookie kickers "develop" like other positions. I kinda get the feeling the stage is too big for him, both figuratively and literally (even as a kicker, he looks like tiny tim out there with the helmet dwarfing his body). Hell he could have a unicorn horn if he makes 50yders consistently. It would stink to find out the hard way, but we may soon.
Tell you who we need to replace..that dude in your avatar that's who...a long time ago...wth man, take him down, it's embarrassing pod.
