That PI call was just criminal

 

Antonio Brown's least favorite movie: "My Left Foot". That was so, so near a disaster- good game, good for us, but we got awfully lucky at the end there, sloppy defense last play.

 

Pretty unbelievable play. Its obvious they practice it. .

 

yeah that last play was nuts wasnt sure if bens pass was forward or not seemed close i thought we lost for a second

 

I would say the steelers got lucky as the chance of winning on that type of play is astronomically low. Not to mention they had an illegal forward pass and stepped out of bounds on that play.

 

We werent lucky. Ben threw a forward lateral, which is a play that can be reviewed. It becomes a dead ball where he tossed it. Even if Brown scores we win.

 

The forward pass was so obvious to me I was amazed I didn't see a flag come out while the play was still going.

 

Same, we were in a chat room and as Brown was running I just kept reposting "FORWARD LATERAL!"

 

it was a forward pass. but barely. watching it again on dvr the ball went about half a yard forward. big ben released the ball right before the 33 yd line. ball was caught about a foot past the 33 yard line

 

This is a sad, yet accurate statement.

 

Barely stepped out of bounds. Big Ben didn't really have to throw the forward lateral, bad play by him, but that was very close to a disaster for us, very lucky that it didn't happen imo. Could have easily turned the other way. Crazy finishes with Bal/Min & CLE/NE as well. Bizarre 4th qtrs in each game.

 

We were very lucky that Barely threw a forward lateral and Brown barely stepped out of bounds. Very lucky.

 

So it sounds like Gronk tore his ACL. I guess that's good news going into next week.

Last play aside.

Defense had a few chances to blow it late, It was nice on their last two possessions to see them put their foot down and just say "No, not again!"

 

I do wonder had he gotten that td if they would have reviewed the forward pass instead of if it was out of bounds or both.

 

Or the NBA. It is very clear there is a different set of rules for the superstars in both leagues.

I apologize if already mentioned but I just watched game on DVR. Why in the **** do you snap the ball on the last FG with :12 seconds on play clock with clock running?

 

I think its telling that Ben had the best game a QB has against us (arguably) and we found a way to win.

with the officiating this year, i really do not even want to think about it *shudders*

 

I saw several times a Steeler tackler leading with this helmet that made direct contact to the helmet of a Dolphin ball carrier. The Steelers seem to do it quite deliberately and often. Why was it never called or am I missing something from the actual rule?

 

Yeah, they knocked Miller out of the game with a concussion and Clark tried to take out Hartline, but got his own man. Clark was finally flagged for it (only time), then later they knocked Misi out of the game by spearing him in the back.

Will be watching to see if the league fines both guys. They were playing dirty most of the day.

 

That Misi hit was dirty as ****.

 

If it were up to me, I'd fine Cody Wallace his entire game check. That was as cheap as it gets.

 

Which is why I'm glad Antonio Brown stepped out of bounds. I wouldn't trust the refs to change it when it was that close.
