It's a shame that Martin let this get out of hand . Act as if your a grown man and find yourself down so you abuse a friendship like that to try and better your financial future just disgusting.
Sounds like what many of us suspected all along. Martin is a cry baby, and the media started and fueled this firestorm.
He's a Momma's boy , and his momma is a POS Harvard Educated Lawyer. That's the only way he knows how to handle anything . SUE.
Richie incognito @68INCOGNITO41m #FinsUp from Peoria, AZ Man still cares. Bring him back for NE. Emotional lift for his teammates.....
Umm, no. Richie was our highest rated lineman by PFF. He's rated +6.8 while Garner is -6.0. It also looks like Garner was yanked in the game because of his play and replaced by Brenner.
Richie also had allowed more sacks in the games he did play than in any other entire prior season. His pass blocking had become a liability.
You guys should be glad Martin did this, the team started to play better after all this happened. I'm not defending what Martin did, but some good came out of it.
That's true. He still has a positive pass blocking grade. He was our best run blocker were Garner has been our 2nd worst run blocker.
Shocker. So much for all that, "just wait til you guys see all this stuff that's going to come out" bs.
If this report is true, I think the question of Ireland is answered by whether we make a serious run to the playoffs. I think they HAVE to get into the POs for Irish to keep his job... As to Philbin, as long as there are no indications of staff involvement (trainers, asst coaches, etc) then he'll be safe unless we have a complete meltdown the rest of the season...
The line overall is playing better now though. Sometimes it's the cohesion of the 5 players, even when they may not grade out as well individually. I remember a couple years ago, the Broncos had one of the best yards per carry as a team in the league, yet PFF gave 4 of their OL negative run blocking grades.
Should of never drafted the guy..he was a very overrated football player...Andrew lucks amazing talent to escape the pocket moved him up 4 rounds.
Ritchie's game is , was, and still is apparently underrated...he's a much better guard than garner..if you play next to garbage on the oline you have to pick up the trash..can't do that man, must be confident in the guy next to you can get it done, and there is no way no how Jon Martin was getting anything done on any level..he was a mentally weak terribly balanced football player.
We'll see what happens, but if true, this should be a lesson to posters demanding swift and harsh action simply because of allegations
Just move on from this whole mess. Even if it turns out to be texting outside of the facility between the two, just move on. The line has been better without the 2 of them. The distractions are gone and 3 HUGE games are coming up. I think bringing him back at this point creates another distraction. It might not be fair, but the Dolphins are in the business of being fair. The goal is to win football games and if that distracts from that, then no, let them both be gone.
Don't want Incognito back he's not a good football player and would only make our offensive line worse.
I disagree a lot with this. It is important to the long term health of the organization, that the players think they will be dealt with fairly. They are already on Cog's side, if the Ross invited investigation clears him, they would want him to be dealt with fairly and reinstated.
This might be the single biggest waste of time and energy towards a non-story in the history of sports.
Who ya gonna cut to add Incognito for two games? I'd hope not Brenner. He looks like he could be a good one for us down the road. It won't be Garner. It won't be Thomas. I guess you could cut Arkin. IMO, the current OL is playing better than when Incognito was still starting. He didn't seem to do any better with McKinnie next to him for one game. I'm guessing Philbin doesn't want him back and he won't be back. JMO, though I could be wrong.
