What the hell is this about? LOL. I've never seen this before. And of course, Junior Galette, the same jackass who was talking **** about us after they beat us.
Henne... Has a guy with open field a yard away from the first down. Throws it at his knees. And punt. So, draft-day trade a 2nd and a conditional 3rd?
Preseason game last year... Henne had thrown an INT and Gallette was going to "just block" him on the return and Henne took offense to it. It was overturned. The refs did nothing to either guy.
Henne. Needs to convert 3rd and 11. Every single drive in the second half has been a 3-and-out. Throws it to the sidelines. So do we offer a 3rd and a future 4th?
Shaub has actually outsucked Henne. And Keenum was even worse. Therefore, Henne has played the best game of any QB in week 14 so far.
Shaub won't be in Houston next season. Now they have alienated the young QB. Safe bet Texans are going QB in the draft.
So who is going to be looking for a franchise QB in the Spring? Jets, Browns, Texans, Jaguars, Titans, Raiders, Vikings, Bucs, Cardinals. Maybe the Bears if they let Cutler walk. 10 teams possibly looking for a franchise QB.
Chad Henne completed 12-of-27 passes for 117 yards and two touchdowns in Jacksonville's 27-20, Week 14 win over the Texans. lol i would crawl somewhere and come back if the smoke and embarrasment has cleared.... also its Matt Schaub, its Adam Schefter for you guys scrambling for that missing c all the time
Henne plays for Jax...and was a backup at the start of the season. That tells you all you need to know. Chad made plays in Miami too but overall our record sucked (and so does Jax's) so a few good plays doesn't make a QB. THAT said. I like Chad Henne as a person and wish him the best. He was an okay backup for Penny afterall.
He's a QB who made it into the NFL...I'd hope he can throw TD's every once in a while. Even Geno Smith had some good games. Henne had a poor 2nd half. Inconsistent. He's a fine backup though.
Okay relax. I'd take Freeman, Gabbert, Ponder, Cassel, Pryor, Foles, EJ and Henne way before Tebow. I'd take Tebow over Sanchez and Geno Smith but only by picking straws.
Houston's defense is 3rd in total yards, and 2nd in passing yards. The team may have the worst record, but it's not the fault of the defense.
It is all part of their diabolical plan, after taking a page from the Colts' MO, to suck for Bridgewater, or whomever.
But before last game they were tied for 17th in passing TDs allowed (20). Yards are not always a good indicator of a defense's performance.
Henne fan and always thought he could be a good qb he won't be Tom Brady good but it could be real good we should give up Tannehill our next 5 first round picks
Ive been following the Jags just to see how Henne is doing. I am glad he is getting another shot. I still believe that Tannehill has greater upside than Henne.
Whatever the reason, Henne just didn't work here, and - instead of developing - he actually got worse. His high point was somewhere late in 2009, and by mid-season 2010, he was benched for Chad Pennington for crying out loud. If Penny had stayed healthy for more than one play, Henne may have not seen the field for another down that year. By 2011, he was a train wreck! And while he has a good game here and there for Jax, it's not like he's lighting it up there consistently. Remember last year when he came to Miami LOL!!! Look, I wish Chad no ill will, I rooted for him, bought the jersey, etc., and I do hope he gets better and plays in the league a long time. That said, I'm happy he's gone, and I love what we have now, and what - I hope - he's about to become! But to suggest Henne should be here right now and we'd be better? Really??!!??
I didn't like Henne much as far as football goes but I like seeing a bounce back story and happy to see that he is succeeding. Tannehill is a far better prospect than him, not sure he's a franchise player but he's better than Henne. Being a backup quarterback is still an important role and still being successful in my book. Better than having a regular job that's for sure, and Henne will have a long career as a backup and that's nothing to hate on in my opinion. Look at McCown and Moore, they're both capable backups and pretty sure Green Bay wished they had any of the three (Henne/Moore/McCown) instead of the **** they have now.
Nothing against Henne, but it was clear early on that he didn't have any killer instinct whatsoever. Excellent arm, though.
I really thought Henne was going to be the guy in 2009. First year starting and he had 4 game winning drives. He torched the number 1 defense in that epic Monday night game against the Jets, and he had a huge comeback victory against the Pats. Problem is, he just never progressed. He never got any better and has always been stuck in neutral.
Henne is the reason ToddPhins changed his name I think. He had him anointed a pro-bowler for years to come.
