I don't think Vince Newsome is related to Ozzie, at least not directly. He was born in England.

On the other hand teams haven't had the greatest success pulling people out of Baltimore's front office. George Kokinis, Shack Harris and Phil Savage all busted as NFL GMs.

I like Philbin, But I'm not opposed to a change. Ireland needs to go. And I'm afraid that a new GM will want a new HC.

I'm curious who is the 1st and 2nd best coaches during this past decade and why?

You are right it's a pretty sad commentary considering those numbers are nothing to jump for joy. Most certainly wasn't an endorsement but as a HC you are what your resume says you are. Philbin I would say was status quo last year with limited talent. This year has been a drastic letdown. We've had a couple of injuries but no real backbreakers.

I've been seeing you say that DW has a negative effect on the team with so much talent and was incompetent? But, the guy had a winning record. We were contender and that not arguable we made the playoffs in 2 of 5 years with winning records in 2 of those other 3 seasons. Anyone who makes the playoffs is a contender are they not? Did we underachieve? You can argue both yes and no. Yes, in the fact we were talented but pretty one sided on that end with the defense being the special unit. And you can say no, as we had an extremely limited "game-managing" QB and no real threats at WR/TE.

Now to Philbin, here you are with a young gifted QB, over $100 mil in receiving options. Yes the o-line sucks and rb's haven't been consistent. But can you seriously sit there and say that anything you see in the 60+mins of football we play each week that Philbin is competent? Let us not even bring into the picture the looming cloud that is BullyGate. I also have left that out of the picture cause honestly that's just another reason off the field that I believe Philbin needs to go.
