I'm sure this will make many people on here happy, but it looks like Daniel Thomas is going to miss the rest of the year because of some torn ligaments in his ankle. Hopefully Gillislee can step up and be productive.
That's a shame. It looked like he was starting to run better. Oh well, it's your team Lamar. Don't suck.
Never been a fan of his but I would never be happy about him getting injured. I always hope the guys I don't think are good will prove me wrong as long as they are Dolphins.
Armando Salguero @ArmandoSalguero FYI OC Mike Sherman did not say Daniel Thomas is out for the year. He said team will be without him for now. IDK if he is or is not out for he season.
It's kind of sad, in a way...because I think this is basically the end of his career in Miami. And it will have ended the same way it started...with a 3.6 yards per carry average. 2011: 3.5 YPC 2012: 3.6 YPC 2013: 3.6 YPC Total: 333 carries, 1185 yards (3.56 YPC), 7 TDs
Sad to see any player wearing the Dolphins uniform lose a season to injury. Sadder still is the fact that this injury probably has zero impact on the running game, positive or negative. Just plug another warm body in. 3 inches and a cloud of dust!!!
Dennis Johnson just carried 13 times for 74 yards this weekend for the Texans. We could've had him. He went on waivers.
I didnt have a problem in letting Bush go...Was this coaching staff going to throw him the ball? They would make him an in between the tackle runner and kept him in to block lol
If we weren't going to utilize his pass catching (and based on his history here, and our RB use this season as pass catchers), then I don't think it was a bad decision to let him go. I'm not going to classify it as a good decision either, but I certainly see both sides. He just doesn't seem to be what the coaches want in a runner.
Is Cierre Wood still available? I think the Texans let him go during a purge that they had a while ago. EDIT: I believe he's on the Patriots' practice squad. Perhaps some poaching is in order...
Unless we can find a back who can gain yards without any blocking and without medium to long completions to keep other teams from stacking the box, it won't make any difference whom we bring in or promote.
It seems like you gave this a lot of thought...and you may be right... which means, there is no chance we get him.
I mean lets be real, for every one 'big' play he would have, it would seem like the next consecutive 5 or 6 runs would be losses of 3-10 yards. and that was with an o-line that was much better than this one.
Another bust? Not on Ireland's watch, he'll come back better than ever and faster than ever. Hahahahhahahaa.
Sorry he is hurt, but we aren't gonna miss him, both RBs are terrible, what did we have between them this week?....like 20yards?
