Everyone on this forum was really nice until they took a heart breaking loss... Take the blinders off for a second and tell me how this is helmet to helmet. PS: the gif is slowed down a bit near the end considering the majority of you might need glasses.
About 15 people from 8 different fanbases agreed with me that this isn't helmet to helmet. It's forearm to chest.
Funny considering everyone else who has seen this thinks it's a clean hit. But, I forgot that only Dolphins fans are correct.
even tim ryan and chris myers said they couldn't believe the call got picked up. You won. congrats. doesn't mean this wasn't a blown call.
The first thing a fan base does that suffered a loss is blame the refs. Have you heard a single Panther fan get upset that Wake drilled Newton that was a nasty helmet to helmet non call.
What are you? The 11 o'clock news? Going around pestering people across 8 different fanbases about what they think about a run of the mill BS NFL call? Enjoy your close and not very well deserved win, and just go. Winners don't or shouldn't have to prove anything.
i hardly care about either play. neither decided the game. Im not sure why you care either. But, it was def a helmet to helmet hit. again, doesnt change anything and its not why we lost, but why are you so butthurt about it?
Someone made a thread about it on a football forum, I had to listen to half the forum talk about how Miami was going to win. I enjoy watching this forum come up for seasons as to why they lost.
Dude you wanna debate?, that's why you hangin around baiting us?, your boy is exactly what I told you he was..a poor pocket Qb..you better hope he can take a shot in the mouth and be ok a lot faster because he's got to run the football to win the game..
so your left wondering "Hmm, rishards head completely twists in the opposite direction. I wonder if Kuechlys helmet hitting him in the face had something to do with that? nahhhhhhhhhhhhhh"
You need to grow up, get a life, make some friends and move on. We don't want you here and don't care about your opinion. See ya!
When Kuechly gets fined this week for helmet to helmet contact will you come in here and remind us how wrong you were? Likely not. It was a penalty. You got another game changing call from the officials. Enjoy it. Any Dolphin fan saying it's the reason we lost is not very bright. Now, go away.
Way to show the bad angle that proves your point, but not the angle that actually shows the Lukes helmet hitting the side of Matthews' helmet. Sure he uses his forearm too, but his helmet hits helmet as well. I don't think anyone is saying this call decided the game. We had plenty of other opportunities that we didnt take advantage of by missing passes deep to Wallace while he was roasting the secondary... but you dispute that as well. Like I said to you earlier... its not a matter of people here not being friendly after a loss, its you being the passive aggressive troll that you are. You're the worst kind. The others get banned quickly, but you like to stay passive aggressive and just like to poke and take little shots without actually coming out of the troll closet. Go talk on your Panters board with your fellow fans about your win, and your homeristic views. It's ok if you want to talk football, but you dont... you're here just to rub it in, without full blown rubbing it in and then play stupid afterwards and try and cover up your actual intentions, which are to gloat... And actually yes, one of your fans was in our gameday thread complaining about the no call on the Wake/Newton incident.
Let me explain physics to you.. if it was helmet to helmet both Kuechly and Matthews helmet necks/helmets would have snapped back. Kuechlys didn't move. Rishard Matthews helmet went forward, why? because he was hit in the chest with a forearm.
Jakob..you were fine till u started running your trap. Enjoy your ban. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2
A flag was even thrown by one of the refs, meaning at least one of them thought it was helmet to helmet... as for the Wake hit on Newton, it was also helmet to helmet, the difference is that it didn't directly cost you a TD.
Physics??? hahaha that's hilarious. Lukes head doesn't "snap back" in any direction because its the top of his head/helmet that hits Matthews as he's launching into him with it, and his forearm. You really are delusional. You're embarassing yourself now.
You clearly failed physics. It was helmet to helmet. But it didn't decide the game. Miami was actually the beneficiary of more calls than Carolina in this game. Lucky for your team, we gifted a win to The Panthers (read, your team didn't win it, Miami lost it). Enjoy the playoffs, it will be a quick exit once teams with talent get ahold of your team.
It was either helmet to helmet or a strike on a defenseless receiver. It should have been 1st and goal at the 1 but it is what it is. The reality is that this team is not quite good enough to overcome these calls. One day maybe but just not yet.
You watch the front view replay and Watthews head snaps back. Kuechly's momentum carries his head forward and the force of impact was not strong enough to creat an opposite and equal reaction. Hear of inertia?
No, you tried to explain your version that suits your agenda, rather than the actual case. We all already knew it was helmet to helmet and cased closed.
They point is you tried. You failed miserably, of course. But you tried, which is more than I can say for my team. For argument's sake though, why not post the other angle that was shown of this exact play? Hmm?
I really do not understand you at all. Your team won, yet you are on another team's fan forum trying to rub their faces in a loss. You have more posts than actual fans of this team, with troll-baited threads and posts that serve no other purpose but to fuel contempt towards you. Is your life that pitiful? I mean, really? Your team beat a mediocre 5-5 team who did everything in its power to hand the Panthers the game. Neither of these two teams will be in the SuperBowl, or remotely close to it. At least Dolphin's fans have some class. PS: I highly doubt you ever attended your high school physics class.
ok so technically helmet to chin and to be fair Wake should have been flagged for his hit on Cam as well. the stinker here is that a flag was thrown and then picked up. a rep from the ref review board actually said the refs on this call blew it. this was during the telecast.
we lost because our O line is crap and we couldn't sustain a drive. we lost because we relied on our defense too much. we know who we are, why are you here rubbing salt? we are gracious to all fans that are here respectfully to talk football. if you are upset because on a Miami Dolphins message board we said we think the Phins will beat your team then that tells me you are trolling and looking to be a dick. enjoy the win that you should not have won...against a crappy Miami Dolphins team that beat the snot out of your show boat QB whoopty doo!!! 20-16!!! statement game right there!!
And here I thought the Jet's fan base was terrible. I never had a problem with the Panthers but the invasion of this forum by their cocky and disrespectful fans has made me hate them. You won pack your bags and move on to trolling the the Saints forums if you aren't already banned from all of them.
So he uses one angle where you can hardly see whats happening, but doesnt use the angle that shows EVERYTHING in frontal view. Guy, find the gif of this picture. His helmet ONLY MOVES after the defenders helmet hits him. his head is literally still until the other helmet hits him. Ahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahhaahah...... why is this clown still here? he made like 3 entire threads just talking about what a nice and modest fan visitor he is, and he cant take the fact that they were assisted in a robbed a win after getting stomped. GG kid, you can leave now.
Mike Pereira, Vice President of Officiating (2001–2009) who was in the booth said it was a bad decision to pick up the flag because in his opinion it was a helmet to helmet hit. It was a helmet to helmet!
Helmet to helmet controversy aside, am I the only one that thinks it was a completion and a TD? He catches the ball, lands both feet in bounds and maintains control of the ball until he hits the ground. Why isn't that consider a good catch?
because he was hit as he was catching the ball, he needed to maintain control even as he hit the ground. the announcers were talking about that as well as Mike Pereira.
Thanks there was no sound where I was watching it. If that's the explanation I will say its a bad rule. He was not bobbling the ball, it popped out at the point he made contact with the ground and he was in the endzone to boot. Think of it this way if the ground cant cause a fumble than why are they saying it can cause an incompletion? Also if a ball carrier extends the ball past the goal line but gets hit before he is down and the ball pops free it is not a live ball. It is a TD. In this case the receiver had clear possession and control of the ball with both feet in bounds and kept control until he hit the ground. IMO once you have that much established than the play should be considered over. Im not arguing with you and I appreciate you taking the time to post an explanation. I am just sharing my logic of why I think its a bad rule that they should take a look at and modify.
If you watched the play if Mathews would have put both hands on the ball, he wouldn't have made the catch. He had both hands on the ball, but he did brace himself with one of the hands when going down. That is the difference between a good receiver and an adequate receiver.
While that may be true, if the Dolphins had won and a Dolphins fan were on a Panthers board pointing out things about the game that required upset fans to be reasonable for them to 'hear it' then that Dolphins fan should expect a raw fan base to be less than happy in response. Personally, I believe in being nice to opposing fans and vice versa. But as respectful as you were before the game, I wonder why you'd post things you are smart enough to know won't be well received right now. It's just timing, Jakob. That's all. Today our playoff hopes died. And that hurts. We want to grieve in private. You're welcome to stay, of course, but don't be surprised at the reaction... And please don't poke upset animals with a stick. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
