A hell of a lot less than 1100 and they're deleted the second after they are read. So now you know someone who does. ;)

NO. ALL 32 NFL Teams have screwed up then . Right now every NFL Head coach /GM in the NFL is boing a sigh of relief and taking action to coddle their rookies. The Dolphins didn't do anything that wasn't being done for years. This is all a sign of the new PC world and that right and wrong has nothing to do with it. Its about who has the better Lawyers.

Yeah I was a bit pissed off reading about Martins mom and how she will now ironically use her power to bully our Team because she can. I think most see through how she is just inventing an argument for her highly disturbed son. But its going to reverberate through the entire NFL and change the game as we know it. Ireland really screwed the pooch when he drafted this poor excuse of a man.

No, they haven't. Only the Dolphins have allowed their locker room antics to spill over into the mainstream media. They did this through a combination of mismanagement and unlucky circumstances.

By the way, all 32 teams do not allow rookie hazing or dues-paying. For example, the 49ers banned it under Walsh, and that policy is still in effect today. How are the 49ers doing right now? Are they coddled?

    Enough with the jockocracy stuff.

    Complete horse ****.

Just because this was blown out of proportion doesn't mean there was some egregious crime committed.

    - Big Ben raped women, still plays and no one cares. Steelers are a model franchise.
    - Dez Bryant causes friction in the locker room, pisses off teammates and coaches then assaults his own mother, still plays and America's Team is still America's Team.
    - Gronk hurls racist comments at strangers and Hernandez murders people and runs guns, one is still playing and the team gets into no trouble and is also considered a model franchise.

All of these things are so much worse than what happened between Cogs and Martin its not even funny, and where is the outcry over them and their teams? Instead we have to hear every day the sanctimonious gibberish about us being a national embarrassment. Its horse ****. Completely and utterly horse ****.

I wish I could triple fist bump you on that!
Goes back to what I said this morning about how the Eagles dealt with Cooper vs the Dolphins with Incognito.
The Phins made a decision to destroy their team. They didn't decide to refund the season ticket holders though,,,,

As far as I know, it hasn;'t even been confirmed that mommabilly is Incognito's father, let alone that Martin has tried to kill himself (let alone several times).

If Martin has attempted suicide, I'm curious about what his family has done about it. If Incognito knew about it, certainly his parents and siblings must have too. Did they do anything about it? Did they try to talk him into retiring for his own mental health and safety?

And if it did happen and Incognito did know about it (which seems pretty strange if they were not genuine friends -- most people don't discuss their suicide attempts with casual acquaintances, let along enemies), did he have reason to believe that he was somehow to blame for it. Is it not OK to joke around with someone who may have once attempted suicide? Do you have to mope around those people with a sad face at all times as it you are at a funeral? Is trying to add some levity a bad idea if someone has been depressed? From everything I have seen or heard, it certainly sounds like they were friends (or at least Martin led Incognito to believe they were friends). No guy texts another guy 1100+ times in a year if they are not friends. And they joked with one another, back and forth. I haven't heard anything to suggest that Martin ever told Incognito, or anyone else on the team, that the joking bothered him. On the contrary, it appears that he actively participated in it himself and laughed about it in the locker room.

Wait... when has there ever been evidence Richie knew Martin had psychological issues?

If anything, Richie and teammates (Tannehill etc) have all said they had no clue Martin was having problems.

I appreciate the sentiment, but i vehemently disagree Miami suspending Cogs was the wrong move. They had to make a move, if they didn't the situation would have been considerably worse media wise.

Cogs screwed up by antagonizing Schefter. before he did that, this was an oddity of a story, after he did it became a full blown scandal and that prompted Martin's camp to go full bore smear campaign.

They could have easily suspended him for a week or 2 and did the rehab/ counseling thing the Eagles did.
You said it yourself, a lot of players have done much worse, rape, racism, murder and didn't get kicked off the team.
This isn't high school. The NFL is big business and a big company doesn't crap on it's customers to make some inconsistent point.

    Here and there
I don't believe this was planned out for years at all, the logistics would have to be perfect in order to happen on one of 32 teams which they had no idea where Jmart was going. BUT I do believe Mrs. Martins eyes lit up like a four year old on Christmas morning when JMartin left the facility and or when she saw the text and heard the VM. If it was preplanned I would say it started sometime after the draft. but again I doubt it.

The only part of that , That I agree with Is the unlucky circumstances. the rest is complete bull**** . Are you telling me that martin had this complete breakdown because of dues paying? hazing? He broke down because he is a psycho with a victim mentality that his mommy has instilled him. nothing else. The rest of the Team and us fans are the victims.

If the report, (not yet proven), are true, that Martin has suffered from depression and was possibly suicidal. I can't believe that his parents would have forced him to continue playing football, just so they would eventually have a lawsuit.

More likely, Martin enjoyed playing football in high school and college and he was highly respected as a player at these lower levels of the game. Once he got to the NFL, he just wasn't very good and he couldn't handle the pressure applied to players at the highest level of the game. He didn't have the skills or the mental makeup to succeed in the NFL. and eventually it caught up with him.

I am sure his parents are doing what they can to support their son at this time. That is what is parents do. I just don't believe that they started their son in football at a young age with the idea that one day he would make it to the NFL and they could turn around and sue the NFL for how he was treated in the locker room or by his teammates. That is such a absurd theory, it makes me wonder what other conspiracies you believe in.

As far as your first statement, "This can't be obvious to only me". I'm afraid that it is only obvious to you, because I don't see this theory of yours making any sense to anyone else.

You young fellas with these newfangled fancy phones say that they have huge capacity to save voice mails and text messages, so it is more the norm than the exception for anyone to have hundreds or thousands of messages stored, so I am in total agreement with you on this.

I never heard though that Richie ever said Martin's mom wore army boots too. That was a major insult when I was a kid. At the end of the verbal exchange one kid would end with saying to the other: "yeah and your mother wears army boots." I never could understand why anyone wouldn't like that. My mom really did wear army boots back in the WW2, or whatever kind of shoes they gave the CWACs back then.

I don't think that had anything to do with it. They added the best OT available as a stop gap measure in McKinnie, but he just happens to have only ever played the left side. The logical thing to do was move Martin over since he did have experience there last year. Clabo was playing worse than Martin when they were the tackle tandem. Had they benched Martin instead of Clabo after the trade, then yeah I could buy that playing a role, but not being moved to help the team get their 5 least worst linemen in the lineup at the same time.

I never delete voice mails because I have never figured out how to activate the voice mail feature on my phone. I could I guess, but I see who the missed call is from and if I know the number I can call back, and if it was important I reckon the caller can just call me back anyway. :)

WADR we don't know what happened between Incognito and Martin. All we know is that it doesn't appear he was singled out at the facility. Any guy capable of molesting a volunteer (allegedly) in broad daylight and getting away with it scares me.

We do have a good idea what happened. We have eye witnesses telling us the two major issues brought up by the Martin camp (the voice mails & the Vegas Trip) were not what they were made out to be. I find it hard to believe, Martin would save the worst of it for ****s and giggles. They lead with big guns and they've both been more or less debunked.

At the very least, we have considerably more evidence saying this was all bull**** than not.

Throw Cogs into the fire for the golf incident. That's fine. Get a police report and have a trial, if he's found guilty throw the book at him. That, however, has nothing to do with this.

This is a big deal for no other reason then people keep treating as a big deal. Its like society agreed this was all of a sudden the worst thing to ever happen. Meanwhile Ben Rapistburger & Michael ****ing Vick are still playing football.

For those who didn't take the time to actually read the entire thread, I've already admitted that obviously Mom didn't plan this. But Her little Harvard trained conniving mind certainly started making up complete Bull$hit every step of the way.

Here is what I'm also wondering. Martin stated today that he wants to still play in the NFL . He couldn't hack it here so he is using Ritchie Incognito as his excuse. When no team picks him up , who in their right mind would? Will Mommy sue again?

Other way around, Incognito = neither Trayvon or Zimmerman. The circumstances were much different and either is a poor comparison.

What a terrible football player, soft football player...sorry, it's the truth...I actually saw a play the other day where there was a scuffle, talk about not wanting any part of it..

But what the had in common was the Press took the story and spun it out of control . They edited 1 piece of the 911 tape and just focused on it. Just like the N word here. Over and over.

They aren't even saved on the phones. They're saved on remote servers and associated with your phone number or ID, so that you can access them from multiple devices. I can load up an app on my Mac and see the texts I've sent from my iPhone or iPad, because the message log is saved on the server.

The voicemail/text conspiracy theories here are really, really embarrassing.

The voicemail containing the N-word hasn't been discussed in forever. This is no longer a story about the details of what Incognito said or did. It's a story about a football organization that can't control its locker room, or is otherwise indifferent to—read: mismanages—things going on in its locker room.

The media hasn't warped this story the way they did with the Martin story. They're not inventing facts as they did when NBC heavily edited the 911 call. The Dolphins screwed up.
