I love the holier-than-thou attitude. Sports writers are the absolute worst when it comes to these types of things. They think that because they write about sports, they are in charge of passing judgements from their high horse.
Can't talk about Bill Plaschke without mentioning this gem http://articles.latimes.com/2008/oct/24/sports/sp-plaschke24
That was one of the worst things I have ever read. It is not like the Dolphins had a player headbutt a player without their helmet on
While I think the Dolphins need to get their house in order. Plaschke is merely trying to incite more discussion by writing this ridiculous article. Yes the Dolphins lost the game and that I can't disagree with. They also were terrible in the running game, that is a fact. But when Plaschke states that the Dolphins, "gave up early in the game", he obviously must have missed the fact that after getting down 15-0, they actually came back to take the lead in the game. So if the Dolphins "gave up early" as he stated they did, how is it that they were leading the game in the second half? Based on Plaschke's rationalization of why the Dolphins lost the game to the Bucs, it would appear that every winning team in the NFL is doing nothing but beating up on the bully. I guess because he works in LA, where there is no NFL football, he isn't smart enough to realize that any team in the NFL can beat another team on a given day. I would love to know if Plaschke also blames the bully issue as the reason a winless Jags team defeated the Titans on Sunday. I always thought Plaschke was a joke as a sports writer and this article only proves it.
Did they play like they were guilty of something, or because they were emotionally drained..? They way they play the chargers might give more insight
Terrible article. It's unfortunate that Miami's entire team is being identified with the horrible personality and culture of the front office. But to be expected when someone like Jeff Ireland is left to linger far too long. His smell is in the curtains folks. Will take awhile for them to air out after he's fired.
West Coast to East Coast is never easy....The Dolphins may pull this Chargers game out. They don't really have a monster pash rusher that can dominate. They have amassed only 22 sacks in 9 games with their team leader having only 3. These teams with no D-lines are beatable for us, as we match up well in other areas. They also are minus in turnovers. Overall, we can score on the Chargers, because RT will have more time than usual and the Running Game shouldn't be completely flat lined as it has been with teams with good D-Lines. The Defense has been above average overall, and when Patterson actually plays we match up well against pass over run teams like the Chargers. I think we have found a team we can beat at home.....I look for a win this week, the matchups are positive.
Why with the excuses? They played one way.. Like bleep. They all said how they were ready and this wld unite them etc.. Had they son and held onto that comeback this would have been seen as a game that showed their resolve. Instead now its a game that doesnt matter as much? They lost to a brutal team on its fourth running back. There should be no excuse for that from a defensive stand point
Are you glad to have a WR who makes comments that are disparaging to the homosexual community, cost $60 million, and is horribly unproductive a Miami Dolphin? Brandon Marshall has twice as many TDs in ONE game as Wallace does all season. But hey, Irish got 2 third round picks for him? Who did he draft with those again? I honestly don't remember. Egnew and who? I'll take Marshall and his 8 TDs over Wallace any day and twice on Sunday.
A good coaching staff would use this as locker room headlines to get the team in a frenzy. Something I expected last game, but was disappointed with. I fully expected the team to come out like Forrest Whitaker did in Fast Times At Ridgemont High. Too bad we don't have good coaches.
