Their best bet is to hope Dallas or Portland start losing. This team needs a PF to fill the role Amare was supposed to fill.

Once the Knicks defy the odds again miraculously win the draft lottery and select Wiggins. Aldridge will hamstring the Blazers into a straight up deal for Glenn Rice Jr.

the attempted miss was even worse.

We finally found one thing the Heat is terrible at. Missing a Free Throw intentionally. Bosh tries to miss vs. BK...hits a beautiful swish. smh. Wade tries to miss vs. Boston...throws a brick off the window, gets called for delay, and the ball moves to mid court. (the worst possible outcome).

Yeah..Wade had a bet on Boston...had to have. I looked for a game like this..and there was one in 06' where Shaq was instructed to miss a FT (think about that for a second). of course..he made it.

Goes to show you kiddies...if you have the game won...don't get cute. Why Wade would try to kill .6 seconds with an intentional missed FT, only Wade knows.

Nothing. Aldridge is a rising star, and the Knicks assets are descending.

Knicks best bet is a reshuffle with Free Agency. Having said that, I still think they will be good this year. The Tyson Chandler injury is a killer though.

The way the NBA has "miracles" happen for large markets this wouldn't shock me if the Knicks somehow crapped the bed and missed the playoffs. I'm sure they'd love for Wiggins to be in NY.

Exactly. I don't see any assets on the knicks worth lamarcus. If we can't get LaMarcus on board with the team to sign an extension in the next year and a half. Then I think he will be traded to golden state for klay thompson and david lee. My hope is that he jumps on board with the team that is being built here though.

Not sure how I feel about this but the Knicks are discussing a deal to trade Iman Shumpert for Kenneth Faried. We need bigs and Im asusming they would have Hardaway or JR step in to Shumpert's role but damn if Shump doesnt have stud upside. Shump will never be a 20PPG guy but he plays D like few others.

The way you should feel about it is this....it is a Fantasy. Sounds madeup from a #Knicksmedia guy hoping to push lopsided trades in hopes that one sticks.

    Denver is not this stupid.

Denver is not the 1 pushing this....Ducking Folan is. Shumpert wouldn't go to summer league so Dolan has his panties in a bunch. Guy has everything backwards. Shumpert is 1 of the few NYK players that plays D and and plays hard. JR gets in trouble and played like crap in playoffs and he wants to keep JR. That Dolan wants this tells me it is wrong cause he has the basketball sense of a 4 year old. Doesn't really matter because Denver wants a 1 with it and the knicks can't deal a 1

and now it's official as per Yahoo.

The Knicks offered Iman Shumpert to Denver for Kenneth Faried and Denver laughed uncontrollably and then threw the phone down in an angry manner. The Knicks took that as a "no".

Man..the Knicks actually believe that Shumpert is really valuable and some of their fans actually thought this was a even trade. Come on guys. Come on.

Personally Im happy it didnt go down. While Shumpert may not be as valuable as some Knicks fans want him to be, youre dealing with potential which can always be a GM killer. If the guy doesnt realize his potential on your watch and then does somewhere else, you lose. If you sell high and then he realizes his potential you still lose.

My biggest problem with Farried is that hes an effort guy but hes undersized (never a good thing unless its Charles Barkley) and the spacing with him and Chandler on the floor would be atrocious. Farried shoots an atrocious 26% from 11-16 feet and 30% from 16 to the arc.

Nobody knows how to run an organization like the Nintendo Seattle Mariners. Again. Thank god I'm a Buckeye fan.

Shumpert is a budding upper echelon player when it comes down to being a complete player. I'm with Boik, glad Shumpert is a Knick, once we get that one elusive extra piece...he will be a key player.

Faried is going to be a perennial all-star. He is currently a 13/13 guy per 36 Min. that is insane.

I just don't see it in Shumpert. There are more Shumperts in the NBA than there are Faried's.

I disagree. There are more undersized PF's. But more to the point Farried's skillset is strictly a rebounder. His defensive best scoring rate is 101. He has no post game or jump shot. Maybe if Chandler wasnt there I might reconsider but likely not. To me he is a 1st big off the bench if you have a PF who can slide over to C 10-15 minutes a night.

Shumpert however is a rare skill-set. He doesnt need the ball to be effective. He takes the other teams best perimeter player and makes life hell for them. His offensive game is developing and has moments of brilliance (see G6 vs Indiana when he drained 5 3's in a 10 minute stretch). Maybe he becomes what he could be (upside to me is like a Dan Majerle minus being a dead eye shooter) but hes a winning player to me more so then Farried. You havent seen Farried have a real back to the basket game or a consistent jumper. He certainly cant create his own shot, which Shumpert hasnt perfected but he has his moments. Farried is strictly a loose ball/effort guy.

The thing with the Knicks roster construction is this: Jr, Shump, Hardaway Jr....how many shooting guards do we need? 1 of them should go imo. Maybe it should be Shumpert, maybe not. But If its going to be Shumpert it should be for a comparably talented big or a PG upgrade. I just dont see Farried as an upgrade....maybe if you fused him and Bargs in to one body.

    Wow. What a jerk :(

There aren't many "undersized PF's" that put up the numbers that Faried does. Guy is a 20 PER player. Shumpert is a career 40% shooter. Iman Shumpert has to be a +5 Defensive Win Share guy to justify his mediocre offense. He is not that.

Faried is developing his offensive game to go along with a freakish physical game. I don't see hoe Shumpert is anywhere near as good a prospect as Faried. In fact, Faried might be the very best support player in the NBA.

Shumpert defers to Anthony and Felton and JR quite a bit. If youre looking at PER Shumpert's value will not be reflected there. He can do a lot more then what the stats show. The best thing they could do for him is to get JR out of there. Unfortunately JR is one of the few capable offensive players when hes hot (which I know is on and off). Shumpert is every bit as good an offensive shooting guard as Farried is at PF is and a much better defender. Farried you know hasnt been taught D because he plays for George Karl and thats only slightly different then playing for Mike Antoni. His defensive rankings reflect as much.

    Also just for fun....
    Player A 1/5 2 points 5 rebounds 2 blocks
    Player B 8/11 21 points 4 rebounds

Player A is Dwight Howard. Player B is Andrea Bargnani shutting him down and playing well for the 4th straight game

Also can we PLEASE get Melo some legit help. When 45 and 10 rebounds on 17/30 with 4 assists isnt enough to win, your team has a serious problem. Bargs had 24 on 9/12 and the rest of the team aside from those two shot 12/45.

Yeah I wasnt thrilled. I understood their ruling but there is no consistency from refs on rule interpretations. They called that Melo was fouled on the first hack before the shot motion was started. The problem is from ref crew to ref crew they call it differently. When NYK played Minnesota a week and a half ago there was a similar play, a deep 2 that was called in a similar situation and I think it was Kevin Martin who got the call. Watching NBA refs is really similar to watching WWE refs sometimes. Very frustrating.
