It's pretty funny how people act like nobody else was torn apart at some point. Look at Hard Knocks.

Know who doesn't look like a ***** right now? Michael Egnew. Anyone want to tell me that guy got less **** than Martin?

It shouldn't matter if he is the first or not. It isn't fair to discredit Martin's case because no one has ever spoke out against Incognito.

I'm sure more evidence will be rolling out so we'll have to see how far things escalated.

I'll bet Egnew is sitting there watching this and thinking...

"Jesus... if HE wins then I could win too!"

    Egnew gets extension to 2022.

God, wouldn't it be ironic if it turned out the other person terrorizing Martin was EGNEW?

And that the physical assault was Egnew attacking Martin?

Man, I could see that. Exhort the two biggest ******* on the team to square off. Like bear baiting. Or dog fighting.

    Martin lost. Egnew won.

Seriously though, I would love to hear Egnew's opinion on this because of anyone on the team I feel he has followed the closest path to JMart emotionally.

I think Jerry could absolutely BURY Oline coach Jim Turner and potentially the coaches above HIM in all this if he corroborated that those guys
used or condoned abusive and bullying tactics to toughen him up too.

I don't know what to wish for.

at first I was against Incog. (Bullying came out)
Then I was against Martin. (seemed like he scapegoated Richie)
Then I was against Incog. (racial slur came out)
Then against Martin (seemed out of context and like a calculated money grab)
Then against both (don't like or trust Martin, nor do players, Incog disgusts me with his treatment of the young lady at golf tourney)
Then against Philbin (no control, had Incog go after Martin)
Then for Philbin but against Ireland (Philbin told Ireland to GTFO of office, forcing Martin on him, players have Philbins back, Ireland told agent Martin should punch guy)
Then wondering why Jim Turner is being sequestered in a safe house somewhere.... Organization hiding something?
Then other players implicated in bullying.. am I against them too? Or is Martin crazy and stupidly-sensitive given that this is normal in football?
Then against football... how the hell is this okay just because 'it's football'?
And Ross owns this mess, so it's HIS mess... so I am sick of his goofy-face too.

At this point I am sick of the whole ****ing lot of them.

The only dudes I like right now are Ryan Tannehill and Cam Wake. If they could get traded to an NFC team I'd just start watching that team for the rest of this season.

I see 4-4 in the thick of the playoffs. I see letting things play out before ****ing with anything as major as the GM in the middle of a very important season for your franchise QB.

I see an offensive line w your key acquisitions being Clabo who was a top 10 (5?) player at his position and Vasquez who could never get healthy again. Sometimes moves don't pan out. McKinnie looks decent, no?

I know you guys are talking about Turner specifically but Ireland has become pretty interchangeable w that w most people here.

If they fired Turner for the OL play I'd have no issue. If they fired Turner because of the Incog bull**** I'd have a big issue w it.

Not only a Dolphin but an NFL player. No way a team signs him, no one in the locker room would trust him. Plus, it's not as if he is an all-world talent that you take a chance on, he's a pretty ****ty player to boot.

Martin can never play any sport again. The fear of legal action, against his opposition, for what is said on the field would be enough for me not to play against him.

You seem to ignore the fact that Martin himself chose to share that voicemail with his teammates and laughed at it with them. If in fact he found them so vile unfathomable why would he do that. Here's a good article, I think hits close to home

Id be almost certain it is. However, of course, his lawyer will just take it out of context just like he has to continue to make things look worse than they were so this kid can get some cash to chill at home the rest of his life.

I went into this thing feeling a bit sorry for Martin... now... I regret the fact that he was ever a part of this organization. I mean, part of me already did by watching him play.... but its funny how when it started I thought Incognito was just a piece of crap and felt bad for Martin, now its almost the other way around. Crazy.

It's this whole story that makes me a bit happy that when I chose an education path into college/university I decline my offers for criminology/law and journalism and went into business. I don't think I could live with myself as a member of the media spinning bull**** whatever way I wanted, nor could I defend people like this with lies as a lawyer.

What a joke this whole situation is to be honest. Its a great example of how pathetic we've become as a society.

Murtha did not give a glowing account of Incognito. He gave inside information of things he experienced. The only reason to dismiss it out of hand is because you really really want Incognito to be guilty. No one, but no one has verified any of Martin's accounts. No one is backing him up.

There was nothing wrong with the friend comparison. It was absolutely accurate. Everyone in the locker room and Cogs all thought Martin and Cogs were friends. Being friends Cogs thought he could joke with Martin like he does with everybody else. Martin gave no indication that he was offended or upset. Bullying is just as much about intent of the bullier as it is the about feelings of the bullied. If martin never indicate he was upset to anyone, then its his fault it continued. And BTW, Martin and Cogs did have correspondence AFTER Martin left, and he STILL didn't blame Cogs then. (This all came out right after the game. I'm not going to link youy the story, you can find it yourself, but I assure you, i'm not lying about it and its been discussed quite a bit.) You have no clue what Ritchie would have said or done if Martin had indicated he was upset.

You clearly don't "tend" to believe them, you absolutely do and are so steadfast you don't waver in the face of all the evidence to the contrary. The VMs were debunked as threats. The demands for money were debunked. There were no other alleged offenses by Cogs against Martin. All the players and coaches thought Martin was fine.

Then Miami should toss him on the NFI if that's the case and they believe the team is being wronged by Martin not showing up. You are talking about a sport where if you dont show up you get fined by the day after voluntarily workouts and practices become mandatory ie the season starts. Rich people dont like wasting money and in Ross's case he is wasting his money daily.

Could it be that the organization themselves dont really know to what extent the facts are or even if they all have come out?

My first reaction when I read the statement was that the Martin camp was getting desperate. The whole Andrew Luck name dropping is pathetic. The claim that it happened on a daily basis was already pretty much assumed (if Richie VM was an isolated incidence would this even be news?) and the "quote" from an un-named teammate was nothing more than shock and awe. But then I started wondering how did they get that quote? Did Martin just remember it and relay it to his attorney or was it recorded in some fashion? And why isn't there a player associated with the quote? The Martin camp doesn't seem to have a problem dragging RI through the mud, so why are they protecting the identity of this player?

This is a trial of public opinion. Martin's camp knows the Dolphins just want this to go away. I'm betting they just want a settlement and will keep picking at this wound until the Dolphins cave with money.

Martin's camp did what everyone expected. They will name players a little at a time to drag this out to extort money from the org.

I'm pretty sure the text message is from incognito as well. He says at the end he's gonna "C(rap) in her C(ranium)" which is pretty much Incognitos signature sign off to end a conversation.

I don't care who did or said what. I am furious that the Dolphins will have to release a starting guard and lose a 2nd round pick in some form or fashion. I don't think they will release Martin but their sure aren't teams beating down the door to throw high draft picks at the Dolphins for him. What a cluster....

I have kids, i am as anti-bullying as you can be. But bullying involves the helpless, and the weak. Jon Martin is big, strong, and smart. That is not a recipe for weakness.

This is a premeditated early retirement. An Aqua, Orange, and golden parachute.

These guys knowingly play this game with all the health, brain, and civil risks that come along with it. Lineman are paid to be brutish, violent bullies. This is horses crap man.

And comparing him to Martin Luther King? Jon Martin collected hundreds of thousands of dollars to be violent. Now he is turning the other cheek, and some are calling him a hero. Its too bad the opposing d-lineman who have been raping RT against this pacifist o-line won't do the same. Poor kid may not finish the season.

This reminds me of a buddy of mine. His wife plotted her divorce over a year out. Bolstered her lifestyle and did the necessary things to increase would-be alimony. And she blindsided him.

This is pre-meditated. You got a beef from April? Deal with it in April. Be a damn man. He built up a case, and is trying to take a nice, early, paid retirement. And its my team that is being dragged through the mud.

Forget Martin. And screw Incognito too, for being a stupid, and rude, class A prick. Get both of these cancers out of here, and lets get back to 7-9 business.
