Not sure about espn, but i notice a change in the slant of the reports on nfl network. they are no longer just lambasting the team. they have multiple interviews of players not exactly supporting cogs but pointing out that the situation in a locker room is not easy to compare to the rest of the world. what an interesting progression so far, evolving for sure.

 

I think the national media is starting to take a look at themselves at possibly realizing that they've been used in this situation. It looks like Martin and his camp put just enough blood in the water to bring in the sharks and they couldn't help but gorge themselves with such a juicy morsel. Incognito is such an easy target with his sordid past and brazen attitude. If this Martin's way of getting Incognito back like Ricky Williams alleges, then others surely have figured this out too.

 

I would be very surprised borderline shocked to see Martin play again for Miami. Who trusts this guy at this point?

In this instance it means we aren't admitting guilt in case of the potential lawsuit not because of playing hardball. I'm willing to bet if martin's father had issued that joint statement with the team, he'd be on IR because then the threat of a lawsuit would be minimal then.

This organization is a ****ing joke. Honestly, the only reason I'm still a fan is tribal loyalty and being too lazy to figure out who else to root for. And the tribal loyalty part is 100% because of the awesomeness of Dan Marino. And the lazy part is because while other organizations may be better run, there's no certainty there aren't pieces of **** like Incognito running around their team as well.

 

Unless there's a union proceeding under the collective bargaining agreement, which usually does not involve a court, an actual lawsuit would have to be race-based. Incognito handed the Martins that card with his N-bomb-laden rant.

 

I've always thought that NFI stood for Non Football Injury, rather than Illness. Not meaning to sound pedantic here. Could it pertain to either? When we signed Ogunleye way back when as a UDFA, I seem to recall he spent his first year in Miami on the NFI recovering from the knee injury suffered in college.
