I think I said in another thread, that IF all the breaks go our way, (split all the AFCE teams, Bucs and Stillers) then we could be 9-7 and possibly be in the hunt for a wildcard invitation, but that's the absolute best we can hope for. In the beginning of the season, I hoped for Tanny to explode (while he's done well, he hasn't exactly established himself just yet) and that several key players would have to take that next step. Clay has done a bit better than I expected. Egnew, jury out still. JJ, jury out. Martin, same same. This D is not performing at the level I thought it would either. All the emphasis from fans has been on the progress/digression of the O, but I'm disappointed overall in the DL...They played very well against the Browns and Bengals, and have been spotty other than those two... Are we done, no....is there still a chance we can get there, yes....is it likely...no....I still see 7-9, 8-8 as best we'll see....
These results may be a testament to what I've been saying about this fanbase..... Especially should they be brought up going into the chargers game after handling the Bucs. Chance to be 6-4 and holding the 6th seed. But they gave up after a tough October loss in Foxboro. Not many dolphin fans are actual football fans it seems. To simply assume they will play worse against a much easier schedule is something else though. Especially after making a move that's seemed to help the o-line dramatically, and knowing what a growing young team we have. That involves some sort of Debbie downer complex. Your so Jaded, dolphin fans. Stop dwelling in the past. 5-3 the rest of the way should be expected. Atleast 1 from jets, bucs, gotta beat the bills, steelers are doable, and three big games with SD, CAR, & NE all at home.
