192.2 now, finally broke through that 195 plateau

Took last night off to watch the football game, and partied this weekend as well.

    Back on the grind.

Decided 8 laps, or an hour and a qtr up and down the hills is my limit as I don't enjoy it. So in replacement have started wearing military boots that are 3 pds apiece when walking.

    ZOMG is that hard

As an experiment have been taking measurements every 2 weeks:

    Chest 46
    Arms 15.5
    Waist 37
    Calf 16
    Thigh 23.5

Have a huge chest cavity so I'm always going to look thick

Measurements are pretty much the same, but have just really gotten back into the swing of lifting weights again so expect a growth spurt in 2 weeks or so.

Realized that I'm not bike commuting as far now, so even the supplemental walks in the mtns are not quite doing the job, will have to up the effort level from 45 minutes of walking to a 1:15 or about 7-8 laps per night.

Oh joy, have to say bike commuting is a heck of alot more fun.

    How's your shoulder doing, Pads?

Last weekend I became INSANITY Certified, which means I can now teach it in gyms and other facilities. I already have one place asking me if I can teach it 4 days a week..that's pretty sweet!

Shoulder is coming along slowly, can lift on it w/o significant pain, but day to day can feel a sort of sticking point in it.

Made two changes and have gotten great results:

-Stopped going out to bars and clubs at night, thought the 6 mile rd trip w/ a half a mile mtn at the end of the night would balance out the booze...nope..not so.

-Taking Apple Cider Vinegar w/molasses before every meal

Consulted the Chart, since August have went from 205 to 191 in two months and started the ACV regiment a week ago..lost 3 pds in about a week.

Congrats on breaking through. And taking measurements is a great barometer. We're all different body types. 192 for you is probably different than how I wear it, or others do. Better to be 192, fit and healthy, than 188 and flabby or out of shape.

My bicep/traps/chest box is coming along well, I'm happy with it b/c it looks balanced, not huge not puny, ripped up a bit. Losing weight around the midsection is more problematic as it tends to be the last place I drop pounds, normally it's face/legs then lower torso.

Just experience has taught me this is how it works for me.

I started Body Beast on Monday and taught my first Insanity class that night. It was pretty awesome. People were just absolutely soaked and had puddles under them when it was over. Not bad for a 30 minute class.
Gotta teach again tonight, and yesterday was legs day, so hopefully I have some hop left in me.

191.8, think I'll be under 190 tomorrow tbh.

One downside to all of this, have to buy new clothes, my old stuff is just hanging off me now.

Sweet, now here is where the record keeping matters, this time last yr I hit my lowest weight, 196, then by January was up to 208, which tells me I'll have to change up how I do thinks this Fall and Winter

    Hey congratulations Pads! That's awesome.

I'm in my second week of Body Beast (mass gaining workout). Doing thing while teaching INSANITY 4x per week is going well. I still haven't hit my 4000 calorie a day goal yet, the closest I've got was about 3750.

    Good going guys. Keep working.

I had a good 8 week run at the gym. Put on about 15 lbs which I knew I would. And now I am at the weight where I have to start grinding to gain. Strength is super slow to return, due to age I guess.

But I went early to the gym Monday, but decided to take the rest of week off. I don't know of the dolphins literally made me sick, Or I need a week to deload....

Hmm, take it the silence in this thread is due to Thanksgiving overindulgence guilty conscience?

Bought some bent handled push up bars, my goodness, they are quite difficult.

In my experience, nothing builds my chest/traps/delts better or faster

Once I hit 100 total reps I suspect my chest will top the 50 inch barrier..it's winter..there is not a whole lot constructive to do other than..lots and lots of pushups

At 5'11, do not want to go to to far past 50 inches b/c I'd look waay out of proportion

Heh I'm still here and pluggin' away :) I've been doing Body Beast while teaching INSANITY 4 days a week. I'm up 8.6 pounds through 6 weeks, which is just about perfect for what I'm aiming for. Eating 4000 clean calories a day is pretty damn hard.

Next week P90X3 comes out. I'm so friggin' excited about it. Every workout is 30 minutes. It's going to be an intense as hell 30 minutes :)

For me, now that it is late fall and soon early winter, the cardio is not as huge a deal so I'm going to add mass and try to drop some weight via diet.

Stuck in that 190-195 level atm, figure increase muscle mass to try and permenantly break through that plateau

Alrighty, I'm up 9.8 pounds thru 8 weeks of Body Beast. 4 weeks to and 5.2 pounds to go until I hit my goal of gaining 15 lbs. I'm so stoked because the 6-pack is still visible and the measurements are increasing in all the right places. Good stuff!
