And we've lost 4 in a row. Can we concentrate on something other than pranking?

OK, so it wasn't blowing up at Sherman. Alright, what effect will this have on team tomorrow night, that's what I want to know.

There was actually evidence presented to the staff here that Martin was posting on this forum. Would explain a lot of the histrionics.

Unbelieveable. We might have a Barrett Robbins on our hands. The "prank" is barely even a prank.

When it rains it pours. An OC under possible gun trafficking suspicion an RT in psychiatric treatment and a new LT who likes hookers and strip clubs.

    What a team

Agreed, but the prank had nothing to do with him struggling. It's a prank the cool kids played on the nerd in a dopey 80's comedy.

It's silly for Martin to get so upset about it that he puts his career in jeopardy, but it's equally dumb for his teamates to do it, espescially if they know he's sensitive to that kind of thing. Why would they actively hurt their own chances at winning?

Idiots. From the top on down.

Martin is struggling because he is not very good and his position coach is out of his depth.

Too much over analysis is happening. It's simple to me because my opinion is formed, this coaching staff is rubbish. I like Philbin but damn, this staff is awful. The GM has had long enough. **** this, burn it down.

    No more patience.

Andrew Abramson now reporting that he has confirmed that Martin is in a "facility" receiving treatment. that's a mental institution my friends.

I would certainly say he's "doubtful" for tomorrow night.

There is no leadership council. The 3 guys who wanted to do it—as an overreaction to Chad Johnson being cut—are no longer with the team.

The leadership council was a huge mistake IMO. Philbin never should have gone for that.

Because the HC is in a position of power. Why communicate any differently with a group that represents a larger group when you could just communicate with the larger group? The players railroaded him into negotiating when there should never be a negotiation. Joe Philbin makes the decisions, and while he should consider how the players feel, he shouldn't have to explain himself or justify his decisions to the players.

You can't blame the players for wanting this council, so it was 100% Philbin's fault if he agreed to it.

Unfortunately the three main members of this council were, Long, Dansby, and Bush. The reason it was unfortunate is because I think them being on the leadership council is one of the main reasons they are no longer members of the Dolphins. I think Philbin wanted more control over this young team and he didn't want these veterans influencing the players anymore. Of course by cutting Dansby, and letting Bush and Long sign elsewhere in free agency, this actually weakened the team in regards to talent.

It appears that getting rid of these players merely was a case of Philbin cutting off his nose to spite his face.

They were three guys that were clearly unlikely to be resigned. This team doesn't give much money to its veterans. How often does Miami give a raise to its own players? The only significant money they've given out has been to Mike Wallace. These players want money and Miami hasn't given them much.

The team is comprised almost entirely of guys on one year contracts. They're all going to be unhappy, especially when history shows the Dolphins wont reward them.

Unfortunately I agree with you and that is the major reason this organization can't build a successful football team. They just don't have a record in recent years of taking care of the veterans who have performed for them or were drafted by them. They would rather pay the big money to a free agent for a couple of years and then get rid of this free agent and overpay another free agent.

That is NO way to build a successful NFL football team.
