Looks like Tyson Clabo will get the start at Right Tackle tomorrow night. Michael Egnew will play a lot more as well.
Egnew I'm actually happy to see get a little bit more time. Clabo I've got nothing to say about other than at least it's not Nate Garner.
I'd like to see Egnew catch three touchdowns during the game. Then when the camera turns up to the press box to show Jeff Ireland, he should be standing on top of the desk with his pants down twerking his freckly ginger *** for the camera.
To be honest I don't think he is in good enough shape. Miami needs to be ahead in the 4th quarter to a point where his bad 4th quarter blocking is meaningless.
To me he looks like a guy trying to play through a bad lower back. He has no sand in his pants. No anchor.
I'd rather it were Garner. He was better at RT last season than Clabo has been at any time this season.
Yes, just now. The only thing is, if it is true, it seems like something the two could get over at some point before tomorrow. I mean, really guys? That said, coming down w/ an "illness" conveniently on Monday when you were very healthy on Sunday is kinda odd too. Something stinks, and it ain't just Sherman's play calling.
I'm taking it with a huge grain of salt. But if its true then we got big problems. If a player as useless as Martin feels he can disrespect the coaches then what are the "stars" doing?
People get sick all the time. The flu can come on quick and certainly keep you from playing. I'd just hope that this is not true. If it is, the party is very likely over and the locker room has been completely lost
Very true about the locker room. Yeah, I suppose he could be really sick, but why not say, "sick - flu," or whatever rather than "undisclosed?" Sounds fishy, ya know.
I'm not sure if this is one of those deals where a little bit of truth goes a long way towards validating a ridiculous statement. Players are indeed unhappy with Sherman, but I don't know if I buy that guys are walking out on him. Then again, after Hard Knocks I can see Sherman crossing some lines. Until there's more about this incident I can't go with it though.
I don't know. It didn't strike me as fishy, and I never would have thought to question it had I not read the last few posts. Anything is possible. And I'm sure Martin was upset about being moved from LT (the money position) to Rt (the a lot less money position), but he's a second year player who basically sucks. If he feels comfortable enough to completely show up Sherman then its likely because bigger name guys on the team have already done it or subtley condoned it.
There has been some good positives about Egnew the last few games. Mainly blocking granted but I would like to see him on a few route patterns just to give him some more confidence.
Jay Glazer says there has been an "unsettling" development between Dolphins and Jon Martin. Update coming.
Jeff Darlington hinted at game plan issues on NFL TA last night. Cogs said something after the game too.
The train is officially off the tracks. Our Pro Bowl Center is involved ina legal quagmire involving his multiple murderer friend and now our RT (former LT) is part of an "unsettling" event. Great. Only solace, Heat v. sixers tonight. Wade out, per Spo. Rest.
Love how he's reporting it on TV to boost the ratings LOL. Yes, we may be in trouble. Need to see how this team responds tomorrow.
This is bad stuff. Whenver you have dissension like this it can tear a team apart. We were already on the verge of collapse.
Jonathan Martin threw a fit after a cafeteria prank on Monday. Prank was for everyone to leave table when last guy sits down. Jonathan Martin was last guy. Slammed tray down. Team dismissed him/he left to get clinical help.
Per darlington, Martin has been absent from team facility all week and has not practiced (whichwe knew). The fact that he hasn't shown up to work at all is the problem. He is either super ill with some highly contagious disease or he is in quit mode.
No. I think they are just giving him a break from the grind and he's going to a counselor or therapist or something.
