Face it, cool aid drinkers...Tannehill is a joke. He has no idea what the QB position entails. He cannot read a defense. He cannot pick up a blitz and dump off. If anybody believes Tannehill is our future, then you are a freaking moron. Tannehill is a well below average QB. ...and I'm being g generous when I say that. That loser's bad throw cost us ANoThEr receiver lost for the year, in Gibson. And for those who couldn't see, his under throw cost Dustin Keller the season, in preseason. If we have just an average QB, we are 5-2 at worst. Tannehill sucks, period. Pull your heads out of your arses and realize that we're going nowhere with that loser. He could be serviceable with a good running team, but the pocket and feet thing concerns me. That will not get fixed anytime soon.
Pocket and feet thing is HUGE. But I think those things come naturally. There are certain attributes that can't be taught. A QB just has "IT". I don't see Tanny having "IT". Watch Russell, Luck....they have "it". You can just sense it the first ply you watch. How many times have we seen Tanny just throw the ball because he made the decision before the snap, regardless of what was playing out. His Hail Mary throw on 4th and a million at end of game is a prime example. He heeved the ball up there to 4 patriots. He didn't even look to see if there were any Dolphins in the area. That right there was a good indicator of his aptitude. Zero.
Yup, very mechanical and static in the pocket, add to that that he is unsure 50% of the times so he delays the throws and inaccurate as well, and there is more bad than good.
Two games ago I joined the Tannehill sucks club, and ever week since he has proven me right. I can only imagine that Ireland will get a bonus for drafting this guy. He cant read a Defense, holds onto the ball and ducks down waiting to be sacked before he does. Lets no go the fumble route, this guy is out to set an Nfl record.
Lol you guys are pathetic, the int hurt but it was like a punt but bad play call. Fumble is on our oline. When a defender hits you from the blindside and you have one hand on the ball, no qb is gonna hold onto that.
Chad Henne 2.0 I have thought this for quite a while. Not saying that Tannehill or Henne are bad QB's. Hell I think Henne would actually be decent if he was put in the right situation. The thing with Tannehill is that he's not a winner. Look at Matthew Stafford today and what he did..Thats what winners do..Look at guys like Johnny Manziel, they play on one leg and still beat you. Tannehill is a soft QB, and he's a turnover machine. I want us to give a start to Pat Devlin, it can't hurt.

I'm not on the tann bandwagon by no means but I believe he can help us.. The first half he played well but our team let him down in the 2nd half.. He is not Peyton but neither is flaco or Eli and they won sb's... For that matter Bradshaw is one of the worst qb's ever but has 4 rings.. Dilfer has a ring.. You don't have to be a Brady or brees to win a sb.. Those guys beat adversity... Most qb's win with a good team around them.. Do you really thing Alex smith is that much better than tann or are the chiefs better than the dolphins.. If we had the same schedule as the chiefs we'd be over .500 too...
@ Dullfandan I know the Chiefs are 8-0 but I can promise you they wont be playing for a super bowl in February. Terry Bradshaw had the luxory of having a great defense, a great running game, two great recievers, and a great offensive line in place for him. All he had to do was go out and not lose the game. Flacco is an average to slightly above average QB that also had this luxory and he's lookin one and done as far as a Super Bowl QB goes. Trent Dilfer...Don't even go there man, Baltimore had the greatest defense in the history of the NFL that year along with Jamal Lewis and that is why they won the Super Bowl...Again...All Dilfer had to do was not lose the game. As far as i'm concerned i'd rather have a franchise QB who can carry a team as opposed to be reliant on greatness at every other position on the team year in and year out...Do the math....Brady is getting it done right now and his entire roster is decimated with injuries. Aaron Rodgers got it done in the super bowl dealing with the same circumstances. Phillip Rivers has his team in every game every single week despite not having an outwardly talented roster. Give me a franchise QB first and foremost... Eff Ryan Tannehill.
I am very much on the bandwagon on Tannehill not playing well and stop making excuses for Tannehill playing like **** at times. But to throw Ryan to the wolves and say he sucks and will never be a QB and is Henne 2.0, is premature. We knew when we drafted him he was raw and needed time. Jury is out on Tannehill. He a lot of times is playing like ****, there is no denying it. I'm just tired of all the excuses for him.

Yes I'm referring to a game we loss because Tannehill couldn't complete a single pass on the last drive we had to win the game. He is inaccurate, he cant read a defense, locks onto receivers and holds onto the ball way too long. We made a mistake drafting this guy, plain and simple. He is not a winner.
This thread makes me realize how many stupid fans there are in the NFL. While Tannehill likely has no shot to ever become elite, calling him Henne 2.0 just means these people know nothing about the NFL.
You are literally repeating generic criticisms of every bad QB without a single piece of evidence and it's about time someone called this bull**** out. Let's play a game I'll give examples of the opposite and you provide your own. On a particular play to Matthews, Tannehill came off other reads to hit him. The sideline pass to Clay and the red zone pass to Wallace which were both dropped were very accurate throws. The throw to Wallace was also a defensive read as the ball was out before Wallace looked or came open. Now your turn. My few examples aren't proof but I suspect it's more than you can point to. I have said it before...a winning QB is a winner from the moment he takes the field. Tannehill is not one of those types. He could exist if he had an outstanding team around him but he doesn't. I compare him to Trent Dilfer, winning a Superbowl because of a strong defense and skilled offensive players making him look better then he was. Come on , nurture him to be a winner ? Seriously...this may piss some of you fin fanatics off, but I really think we would have a better record if Matt was playing. This season won' t get any better as long as Joe sticks with Tannehill.
