Ellerbe doesn't make a whole lot of plays but he's effectively shutting down the underneath on many passing attempts. It's something Dansby and Burnett - while more likely to make plays - were never able to do because they were too slow. Essentially, Ellerbe's speed shows even if he doesn't have many plays to show for it in return.
but they have Gronk & Amendola on the field, so I'd say their offense is healthier than it's been all year minus the Vollmer injury.
I think this short week is a blessing in disguise for Miami. I know they play Thursday against a good Cincinnati team. But, it's at home, and their next game isn't until Monday Night. It's like they get a mini-bye week in between the Cincinnati and Tampa Bay games. That could really serve them well.
They are seriously daring us to go deep, and we haven't done it yet...got to let Ryan and Wallace try.
That's nice but his pass rushing has been invisible and he's getting washed out by OL badly in the run game. Add in the injuries....I just want to see more out of him.
He's never been a great pass rusher; in Baltimore's front 7, Jason Trusnick would've racked up 6 sacks that year. I'd like to believe that our FO knew this, but then again, maybe not.
