I am down on this team as anybody but you know what. This is not the pats of old. They could very easily have lost 3 in a row just like us if not for that miracle finish against the saints. Last years pats team I would expect a blow out but this pats team I just don't see them blowing us out like the saints did.Now this is a big if but if tannehill doesn't turn the ball over this week we can beat this team.I will say the pats probally will win but I stiil think they have the best chance of beating this team on the road for the first time in a long time.
Then I'll believe anyone can win the division a la 2002. Otherwise its all Patriots again while we fight for scraps with Buffalo and NYJ. My hopes aren't so high considering we lost to a practice squad QB at home coming off the bye. And he didn't even throw for a TD, and the Bills run game was held in check...and we still lost.
I'd love it if we could beat the Pats in NE, but I don't see it happening. We suck on ice right now. I'm having a hard time believing we can beat the Panthers, much less the Pats.
Not in Foxboro. Maybe down here, but not out there. The stadium, the atmosphere, and the refs. No way.
True, the refs probably will be kissing their asses after being naughty last week and calling a penalty when they didnt have to resulting in a loss by the charmed ones.
I really don't expect them to win so I will not be crushed if they don't.I am just presenting the case that the pats suck this year compared to years past and we do have a better chance than in years past even though we suck also..
This is a very "Rock-paper-scissors" league, meaning just because team A beat team B, who in turn beat team C, there is no assurance that team A with easily beat team C. Also consider two of our 3 losses were last minute toss-ups....don't be surprised if we walk out of Gilette the victors....
The Bills game did it for me. I'm not getting upset about another game this year unless somehow its a playoff game or a game that could get us in the playoffs.
If you watched their games this year and didn't know it was the Pats and that it was Brady you would not be afraid of them. They are pretty dang vulnerable. I won't be surprised by a win.
After watching last week's game I'm just not seeing it. The worst part is that a few days later Cincinnati is up. If Buffalo with no QB after a bye week isn't a gimme win then nothing on the schedule is. Sunday could be the beginning of things getting really ugly. I hope Matt Moore is ready because I'm not seeing Tannehill standing up to the abuse much longer.
As a dog owner... to me, this is priceless! Thanks! I think we can win, Ball security is going to be key for us though. Can't turn it over like last week. I think we can handle the Pats offense, Wake and Jordan at Brady all day... Missing Ellerbe might hurt, but I think we can take them. If we win, its barely, just like our other wins this year.
I think we need to score and keep the throttle down. I like our offense more than theirs. If the Phins come out wanting it, I can't see how they lose unless they get out coached in every phase of the game.
The only time we've won a game in N.E. since Brady's been the qb is when he was injured and didn't play in the game in Sept 2008.
Were not beating NE. Can't even beat buffalo... What are they on? They're 4th starting QB? No way were beating Brady, period.
I think we have a decent chance at this game. They have some keys missing on D that should allow us some good opportunities. If we play like the Ravens and Buffalo games, not a prayer, if we play like the Indy game, bet your *** we have a good shot...which team shows up?
They haven't lost back to back divisional games for over ten years. We haven't beaten them for three years. So yeah, dolphins win!!!! Do it.
If we win we're in a three way race for the division... Man last week's loss was so ******ed... Thad Lewis... come on......
We simply can't turn the ball over on offense, then allow a team, any team, to convert almost 50% of their 3rd downs. It all comes down to coaching, preparation, and play execution. We have the talent to win this game though. Now let's beat these f****** at home.
I'd like to see the team come out with some fire at the very least tomorrow. Not the nonsense we saw against Buffalo.
Yeah I don't see how we can pull this game off. We have never beat the Pats in NE since Brady has been there, what makes you think this team can do it now?
Didn't we score 2 touchdowns on the first 2 possessions in Indy? THAT'S the kind of start I'd like to see tomorrow. Come on with guns blazing.
Someone mentioned last week that Buffalo was a must win game. I didn't feel that way. This game will define our season. We need the W.
All this talk of NE success is the past. They have played poorly this year, Brady has honestly been horrible, their best D lineman (a beast) is out. They can still beat us, but they are not the juggernaut they once were. This year is the beginning of the demise of the Pats.
People have been saying this for years now. I'll believe it when it happens. We can win but we need to play our best game of the year.
I said it in the Mckinnie thread...Our O-line will play great, but Brady who has been up and down all year will have one of those great "up" games against us. We're cooked at the end of the day...My money is on Tannehill playing well, Wallace catching a TD, the O-line playing with a heart beat, but our defense which is supposed to be really good will let us down..The defensive line which is supposed to be our strength will not pressure Brady all that much. Gronkowski, Thompkins, and Stevan Ridley all get TD's for the Pats and Gostowski kicks two field goals...27-17 Pats is my prediction. In my opinion this is a must win game for us, but it really didn't need to be had we taken care of business against the Bills. Season defining game for us in my opinion...We aren't dead but close to it if we lose.
Really? I don't think many have said that before this year... Brady hasn't been playing well this year and with both Wilfork and Mayo out, they're vulnerable.
Yes, I've heard people say this ever since 2008. "This is the year they're going to suffer." Despite the guys they've lost, they continue to win year in and year out. I understand Brady hasn't looked like himself and they have some serious injuries, but they still win. I hope we can keep them off key tomorrow. Winning in that stadium would be GIGANTIC for us moving forward.
