Yes, I read that too. Everyone is rushing themselves into plays because the protection has been so bad. To compound having 2 bad tackles, we also had Jerry allowing pressure up the middle. All season, it's been 1, 2, throw. We're losing opportunities on the field because Tannehill doesn't have the time to survey the field. He makes a read and fires it.
You'd think we would've done the RB leak-out stuff with Reggie Bush, but that never really became a dynamic threat in this offense. I'd like to see more Thigpen too, doing that kind of thing; but if we didn't do it with one of the best pass-catching RBs in the game, I'm not holding out much hope.
Yipes, yeah, you're right, and I stand corrected. I had only looked at the still when I wrote that. As far as body-positioning, I'll admit to being a layman at looking at these things. That's not something I'm going to be able to tell from the still. It looks to me like it could go either way; either he could be pulling up to stop and turn to the outside like he does or he could be running on... and when I first saw it, I thought the latter. I was wrong. First time for that... it feels really weird.
Look guys opportunities are going to be missed but when RT has time he's pretty good, the deep ball to Wallace did you see the hit he took as he threw the ball. I don't think RT will finish the season, this is on the coaching staff to not do something to protect him. I can't belive they traded for a left tackle after the Bills game and not before, I wonder if Ross told them to do something, anything.
Doubtless. Ross calls Ireland and Philbin in for a come to Jesus immediately after a completely flat showing against the Bills and we're supposed to believe that Ireland on his own initiative decided to fix the LT problem at this particular juncture?
When I watch this I think how did we lose this game? Then I think three turnovers two resulting in Buffalo scores and one taking a score away. So close but yet sooo far away.
