I'm with you on both. My thinking is Broncos game gets out of hand so there's more running than last week and this week the WRs get the touchdowns. I also think Pitt puts together a better game than what they have been off their bye with Bell healthy and a rookie QB going against them.
I just wouldn't feel comfortable sitting Cameron, he's been a stud (besides last week) which I say is because he's QB went down in the middle of the game. I have Cameron as well so I might be a little biased lol
I don't mind a Denver blowout b/c that could mean Manning wanting to make sure everyone gets a piece of the action [like week 1] which could mean guaranteed points for Julius. At least with Denver you know there's gonna be an *** load of passing TDs scored.
3 years ago if you told me I would be benching DeAngelo Williams and Maurice Jones-Drew for most of the season, I would have slapped your sister.
Ok guys, need some help in a PPR league. We also get bonus pts for plays over 40 yds, TDs over 40 yds, and receiving games over 150 yds (5 extra pts for 40yd+ gain, +1 if a TD, an extra 10 pts if you hit 150). Now I am having trouble picking 3 of the 4 below (already playing Torrey Smith in one spot) Randall Cobb @ Bal Justin Blackmon @ Den Julius Thomas @ Jax Antonio Gates @ Indy I think I want to play Cobb for sure (I'm 99.99% sure I am playing him). So the real issue is whether to play both TEs or just one and Blackmon. I'm leaning towards Blackmon because I expect Jax to throw a lot, and I lean towards Gates because he is River's biggest threat. But Julius Thomas always seems to do well, but I worry he won't get it much because of the blowout that may come. Help please! I need this win as it's #3 vs #4 (I'm 3), and he already got 17 from Chicago's defense.
Id go cobb blackmon and thomas. Blowouts be damned im permanently done with gates. I simply never trust him to make it through a game healthy. More importantly the colts d has been good and gates hasnt been scoring tds. Blackmon averaged 5 catches and 80 yards with henne last year and in a game where they figure to be down big the yards may come in bunches late.
Well Torrey Smith is killing me, and with Cobb getting hurt he will probably end up as the wrong play too.
Thank god I played Blackmon, as he gave me 43 pts. I'm losing 108.2-93.1, but still have Alfred Morris and Phillip Rivers, so I'm feeling pretty good (he has no one left).
Well I hope Rivers throws up a goose egg since I started the Colts D in 1 of my pay leagues (crappy matchups elsewhere))....If Morris wants to run for a 150 and 2 scores thats fine.
Fine for me too. I have Morris in my other league and am facing Rivers as well. After Jimmy Graham laid a donut I need every point I can get. I finally get Amendola on the field and then back to the bench he goes. Hopefully Cobb is OK.
Kansas City D/ST got me 26 points and Alec Ogletree (my IDP) got me 20.5 points so pretty good game from my defense.
I'd rather have Hilton's potential going forward so I'd give up Randle but there is talk of the Giants dealing Hakeem Nicks, if that happens then Randle's value likely goes up.
My delimma exactly.. I'm afraid if I get rid of randle nicks will be traded and Eli will revert to his previous self.
Flex play option: McGahee @ GB Nate Washington vs SF Golden Tate @ Zona Leaning MCGahee but hes looked so bad and is TD dependent it has to be a question.
Would you guys trade Gronk for Josh Gordon and Zach Miller? His other WRs are DeSean Jackson and Reggie Wayne. My starting WRs are Michael Floyd, Ted Ginn, and Chris Givens thanks to injuries to Randall Cobb and Cecil Shorts. My other TE is Jordan Reed. 14 team league, non PPR, TDs worth 7 points... currently 6-0. QB - Brees RB - Foster + Lamar Miller WR - Floyd + Ginn TE - Reed/Gronk RB/WR - Fred Jackson WR/TE - Givens I'm putting in a waiver claim for Kendall Wright too since he was just cut... also have Shane Vereen and Joique Bell at RB and Tannehill as my BYE week QB... still deciding whether to drop Cobb since he can't play til week 15 and knowing GB, they'd just ease him in.
Personally I wouldnt do that griddles. Gronk is an elite te and both miller and gordon have unstable target numbers (miller) or an unstable qb siguation (gordon). Miller is also extremely td dependent. Reed is approaching te 1 status. If gronk plays id sit ginn and start reed and gronk at te and flex and shift givens to wr.
Ok, I'm 2-4 in my other league despite leading in friggin points and being consistent week to week. It's annoying me. I've made a few moves and am now scratching my head how I should set my lineup moving forward. 10 team PPR, 0.25 per carry, 1 pt per 20 return yards, 4 pts per pass TD QB: Cutler, Luck (Cutler has 122 points to Luck's 114) WR: Cruz WR: Blackmon WR: Wayne, Wallace, Harvin TE: Graham, Rudolph RB: Morris RB: Lacy W/R/T: Brandon Jacobs, Ryan Matthews, Zac Stacy K: Sturgis DEF: Chiefs I'm also thinking of adding Foles and starting him this week against Dallas but not sure who I would drop. Graham has a bye so I need Rudolph. I picked up Cutler this week on waivers so I guess it's possible I could drop Luck and just go with Cutler & Foles. I dropped Quiz Rodgers for Stacy today too.
Id rather have jordan reed then garrett graham. See if hes available and u can drop one of your 2 td dependent te's. qb id go luck this week. Rb is lacy and Morris. Wr this week id go wayne blackmon and cruz. Wallace and harvin dont start til they hit the field and prove they are healthy and productive. flex should be whoever is hot which right now is stacy.
BTW it's Jimmy Graham, not Garrett. I was thinking that with Freeman seeing his first game in Minnesota's offense he might be more comfortable looking for his big talented TE squaring up for an easier pitch & catch until he develops rapport with the receivers. What about the Tampa TE? Matthews ran strong Monday night and perhaps he gets his first rushing TD of the season verse Jax [he's gotta get one sooner or later].... and Jacobs has a great matchup against Minnesota's weak run D. The Broncos get Von Miller back, plus Champ is back, too, so I'm not sure about Luck this week, especially if they use Richardson a lot in attempt to keep Manning off the field. But then again he could get garbage time yards & scores.
Brandon Jacobs Do you guys think Brandon Jacobs is a worthy play this week against Minny? Debating between playing him or Eddie Lacy against Cleveland...
Lacy no question. Starks is hurt and Jacobs is a plodder. Now im merging this in the FF advice thread.
If Jacobs' hamstring is ok [which it seems will be] I'd be tempted considering he's in man-on-a-mission mode and Lacy is facing a tough run D.
Nyg ol is awful and jacobs doesnt make anyone miss. He lacks explosion and is basically a plodder. He had nice stats vs the bears but he was so unimpressive the nyg signed peyton hillis and activated a very raw 7th rounder named michael cox
Then I need new eyes b/c I thought Jacobs ran well with authority against Chicago. Thought he looked like young Brandon Jacobs. I don't think Jacob's performance had as much to do with the Hillis signing and Cox activation as injury did, including Jacob's hamstring.
I was offered Jamaal Charles, Daryl Richardson, Steve Smith, Stephen Hill, and Jared Cook for Fred Jackson, Lamar Miller, Randall Cobb, Cecil Shorts, and Rob Gronkowski. My other players are Arian Foster, Joique Bell, Shane Vereen, Michael Floyd, Ted Ginn, Chris Givens, and Jordan Reed. His other players are Matt Ryan, Ryan Mathews, Zac Stacy, Demaryius Thomas, Marlon Brown, Brent Celek, and Garrett Graham. It is non PPR with all TDs worth 7 points... 14 teams. QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, RB/WR, WR/TE. Basically going into the playoffs I would have (pending injuries): Brees, Foster, F.Jackson, Floyd, Shorts, Gronk, Miller, Ginn/Givens/Reed. Brees, Foster, Charles, Smith, Floyd, Reed/Cook, Vereen/Bell, Ginn/Givens/Hill.
Yes do that, the best player you are giving up is out for at least 4 weeks. Fred Jackson is doing alright but he is still in a commitee backfield and Lamar miller has been awful and your getting back the best RB in fantasy right now. Cecil is also injured for probly 2 weeks. Gronk is the only player I think you are losing who has value but he still has some question marks. DO IT
The problem is richardson, hill and cook all either stink or are average. Smith is old and week to week consistency hasnt been there in a few years. Gronk and Charles are the 2 best players in this deal. Fred Jackson will get hurt at some point. 32 year old backs dont make it through seasons healthy and in his case hes missed like a dozen games the last 2 years. Not convinced thats a good deal for you. I would probably counter with Jackson and Gronk for Charles since thats really all that hes offering you imo
Would you guys start Spiller vs MIA, or Brandon Jacobs vs MIN. I'm leaning toward Jacobs because I dont want to cheer for Spiller in any way/shape/form today, and he has been disappointing so far this season.
There's probably more upside with Spiller but I'm always hesitant to start guys against Miami if I can help it. That's a tough call. I've got a flex spot for either Torrey Smith, Mike Wallace, or T.Y. Hilton. I'm in a non PPR league. Dez Bryant and Josh Gordon are in my top 2 WR spots and they're not coming out. [Not a bad WR lineup for a 12 team league right?] Any advice from anybody? Right now I've got Wallace in the spot [he's been on my bench for weeks but Buffalo has given up a lot of long gains to receivers]. I'm pretty sure I'm sitting Smith this week b/c the matchup's not great. Andrew Luck is my QB and I'm afraid that Hilton's going to have a huge game while they're trying to keep pace with Denver and I'm going to have the points on the bench. He is boom or bust though and I'm afraid of having him in the lineup and getting next to nothing if Luck decides to just focus on Wayne and Fleener today or something.
