Monday is almost here, I'm so hyped for this game! Predict what the score will be at the end of the game.
34-24 NO....like to see different, but just don't see it... at home, Payton back...tough place to try to win for a team that is still spreading it's wings against an offensive juggernaut like the Aints...
Saw in the paper this morning that the Saints are giving up 7 points for the line. What the Bleep! Crazy for a match up of 3-0 teams. I'm actually more interested in the Falcons v Pats game. Just as with the Colts destroying the Niners, if the Falcons go off on the Brady Bunch it'll be an excellent example of how good the Dolphins actually are.
I called this exact score in another thread earlier this week. For the record I would doubly live it if the score was right except the teams are reversed.
That's never a real indication. The most glaring to me, 1985, we beat the Bears, the Patsies beat us in the playoffs, Bears dismantle the Patsies in the SB. History is littered with like examples.
That's what I predicted the line would be at the beginning of the week (I said 6 -7 points). Figure the automatic three points for the home team plus NO is probably a 2.5 - 3 pt fav on a neutral field right now. Then add in a point or so for our injuries.
31-27 Miami Tannehill leads another late TD drive for a victory, Dion Jordan has a coming out party with multiple sacks
I'm not that brave on this one, but I have to say, I'd love to at least have a shot late in the fourth quarter. I'd be thrilled. If we can keep it close thru three quarters, we'll have a chance in the fourth. It's just the first 45 - 50 minutes that bothers me. Philbin on both his presser and Mike & Mike yesterday mentioned getting off to a quick start in this one. I think that's imperative Monday if we want a chance to win it late. Also, if you're prophetic and Tannehill was to lead another late TD drive, those talking heads with their ridiculously early "Tannehill # 6 for MVP"... well, he's gonna skyrocket. Anyhoo... may your vision come true!!!
I dont fully believe this but.......Phins 33-31....Sturgis with 4 FGs....including a 51-yard game winner as time runs out.
Wow, that's seven scoring possessions. That's a lot for a team that let ATL hold the ball all day and all of the night! But may you be right! Or Snips. Or Boik. Or anyone that has the Dolphins winning.
I just want Miami to bring their best game. I don't want to see them make mistakes and give the game away in the national spotlight. Ultimately, though, the Saints are the better team, and they are in their house. I think they win. Dolphins 30 Saints 34 I hope I'm wrong!
you won't/can't win them all, and I'd rather lose this one to an NFC team than next week to an AFC team, so I'm going 31-24 NO this week and then 24-13 MIA next week vs baltimore 4-1 at the bye
I think the only chance we have is if we can put lots of pressure on Brees. I don't think we can win a shootout with the Saints in their own house. If Wake is out its going to be hard to put maximum pressure on Brees with our best pass rusher on the bench. I hope I am wrong. Saints 28 Dolphins 21
38-30 Miami.. I actually think that Miami and NO will score more... but I am playing on the low end...
Um, actually you can win them all. We happen to be the case and point franchise for that, actually. I am very disappointed that you guys are PREDICTING our football team to lose. I do not mean to offend anyone, but that type of thinking is pathetic in a league with so much parity. Especially when you are comparing two undefeated teams albeit only 3 games into the season. Our team has busted *** to be where they're at. In fact, it is thinking like that, that keeps franchises in the dumps. See my thread "feeling lucky?" ranting pre-regular season about how I thought Tannehill would be awesome this year. I was dead on. I'll eat crow if I have to, but I will NEVER "predict" a loss for the Miami Dolphins.... DOLPHINS 27 SAINTS 21 This is the game that CHANGES EVERYTHING for this franchise, the direction it is going, and it will be a true statement to the level of management and coaching that has been going on lately. It IS OUR TIME!! ...respectfully, dolfan99
Welcome to the forum, I am new myself. I find your prediction interesting, as I was thinking there is a small chance we could end up in a defensive shootout contrary to popular belief. I think our offense is more efficient than it may seem, and I don't know the stats after the last game, but going into the last game we had a crazy high percentage of opposing 3rd down plays stopped. I know in previous years we struggled on 3rd down and in red zone, defensively. This year seems different. And I like our kicker, Sturgis.
In a surprising show of complete ineptitude, both teams struggle through a turnover filled slop fest in combing for a new NFL record 18 turnovers ... besting (or worsting) the previous record of 17 set in two games in the 1940 decade. Sturgis puts both teams out of their misery with an NFL record 65 yard FG late to give the Fins an undeserving 15-13 win.
My thinking that they will lose a game against a team with superior talent in almost every position on the field has nothing to do with why the franchise is in the dumps. it's in the dumps becuase of poor decisions, bad drafting, and worse coaching for the last decade. I hope they win, I'll cheer them for a victory, but expect a loss. If you never expect a loss by your team I bet 07' was tough for you.
