Tannehill was maddening throughout this game, but that last drive was a thing of beauty. Even the incompletions were on point. Tremendous win.
I knew we were gonna do it on that last drive. You could just see it...The line really manned up big time on that sequence.
It feels good knowing that even though we are down with one last drive we can pull it off. We could all feel it and it felt good. I know I could.. It felt like victory!
Props to Wilson stepping up with that INT after getting picked on a bit through out the game. Also, Tannehillls stats were better than Ryans this game...and I'd take the INT he threw over the one Ryan threw all day every day, if I had to choose xD
Years past I would have expected to lose the game on that last drive. Not anymore. I always feel like have a shot. Side note Why the freak did we not spread them out earlier? Glad we finally did.
Tanny's pick was pretty bad though. In Atlanta's part of the field and throwing from his back foot after completely telegraphing who he was throwing too. He made up for it but it was a rough play from RT.
Dion JOrdan's pressure led to that. As per the PFF stats thread..pressure over the LT is Ryan's weakness. Not eth egame ending INT when pressured from the LT spot by Dion. LOVE IT.
That's what great quarterbacks do. Win the game even when they didn't play their best 3 and a half quarters. LOVE this kid!
It was still a perfect throw that hit Clay in the hands. You expect your TE to catch that ball 10/10 times in the NFL. I thought his incompletion later in the game was much worse and could have been picked.
I'm pumped about the win.... But I have to say that Miami looked terrible, with the exception of the last drive. Atlanta moved the ball at will, no push on our D Line or O Line, and Tannehill held on to the ball way too long. A lot has to do with our O Lines lack of pass protection and run blocking ability. One positive is our def encountered a lot of injuries and was on the field a lot, but made the stops when it counted.
Ugly win but a win is a win. Good teams find ways to win. We would have lost this game with Morano & Henne. I'm so psyched that this team finds the will to win. ST was HUGE today. The O-line & D-line better get their shiot together. Otherwise MNF is going to be ugly.
3-0....4-0...How good is this team?!?! I'm slowly coming back from my high after today's game. What an incredible win!!! The last time I felt this way was when Marino was playing. My only concern is our O-line. They need to get better fast!!! Tannehill better learn to get rid of the ball quicker. Boy did I take Marino's quick release and pocket awareness for granted. I'm actually excited about having a tough schedule with NO and Balt up next. To be the best you have to beat the best!!! This year is going to be a fun for us devoted Fins fans!!
You know what I love about this team? Unlike the past 15 years...this team doesn't have to play mistake free football to win. It can overcome mistakes. Now imagine if our OL was more solid...............*drool*
Daniel Thomas should never be out there to pass block again. I know Miller is smaller, but atleast he gives effort
Was still right in his hands. Clay hears steps at times. You should see it on the other play where he turned his head looking for the hit instead of catching the damn ball.
Remember this guys... We went down 10 twice, and came back. What a win! No way we should have won that game but we did! Team effort and a huge game winning drive by Tannehill!
That was a crap game? He had challenges this game and while not stellar , I can't agree he was crap either. He missed practice time and was probably affected by his injury . The one interception was a ball that could have been caught if not should have been , and he answered when the game was on the line. Sims and DT put 17 in a tough place at times , it wasn't at all , all on him imo . Great to win when not at your best , that is what winning QB's do
