I don't get why people keep talking about Manziel the guy isn't going to be draft eligible till 2015.
I think the age thing is somewhat overrated when it comes to being a quarterback. As long as your legs and arm are healthy.
well I traded Kendall Langford for him in the GML... but then traded him away in a package for Russell Okung.
Side plot here... the Colts overpaid for Vontae Davis did they not? Over pay once... aberration.. over pay twice... start to wonder. Jim Irsay and his tweets...
Richardson in wk #1 led the league in YAC or missed tackles caused. Colts have to think they will be picking later in rd #1, Brownies going into "rebuild' mode Weeden is the most hit Qb in the league.
Oh I see, thanks. I don't think he comes out after this season though. Especially when the choice is to play for Jacksonville and Cleveland. If Oakland is the worst team he might consider it but not for Jacksonville or Cleveland.
hey I never said anything about Richardson, I think hes a good player and he showed it. Blackmon has showed nothing but being trouble. He causes nothing but problems imo. Maybe he will prove me wrong.
He won't stay in college and risk being injured if he can sign and make $$$. He can always leave the team after his contract is up.
I'm not sure it's hate, but I don't think it's unfair to say Richardson hasn't lived up to his draft status. Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk 4
Not when you realize they are setting themselves up to pull a 2011 Colts tank job. Jags vs. Brownies for the battle of SUCK.
Alfred Morris, 6th round, 173 pick overall, 1600 yards and 13 TD's from the same draft. Trent as the third pick got half the yards and a fraction of the touchdowns. Granted, it's Cleveland but the Redskins were a treadmill no talent team before last year and they still lack talent at many areas of their offense and defense. Cleveland is LUCKY to get a first round pick when you can pretty much grab a running back at any round and get this kind of production. If you tell me would I rather pick Trent in the first round or Lamar Miller in the 4th round, I'll say give me Lamar. Unless they're special like Peterson I stay the hell away from running backs in the first round. In conclusion, Irsay is drunk again.
Check out what Morris did when they didn't run the spread option. It's not impressive. Not saying he didn't have a good year and wasn't impressive overall. But he was a extremely better situation in Washington.
The question was though, has a rookie coach ever not been fired after going 1-15 or worse. The answer is no. The other circumstances were not part of the question. Also at the time Jimmy led Dallas to a 1-15 record in his first season, the Walker trade hadn't happened yet. Even without that trade, he would not have been fired after one season.
I thought that too, but apparently he had a redshirt year in 2011, so combined with '12 and '13 that gives him 3 years at the college level, and makes him eligible to declare if he so chooses.
Me too. It is more about how much tread wear. Pitching in the minors leagues hardly took any toll on Weeden's body.
64 for 865 and 5 TDs for a rookie WR on a crappy team is showing nothing??? Man, your demands on a rookie WR are pretty high. Julio Jones and AJ Green had 54 and 65 catches as rookies on much better offenses.
You don't need 3 years in college, just 3 years from the year you graduated high school. In most cases yes that means 3 years of college but it could be a year or two out of school altogether an 2 or 1 years at the collegiate level.
Weeden ain't safe either. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap20...ort-brandon-weeden-not-viewed-as-answer-at-qb
One things certain, they're not going to get a 1st round pick in return for Weeden if they manage to trade him.
I've watched a lot of college football, and there's too many good ones in the upcoming draft. So it doesn't shock me the Browns have no plans for him. I was pretty impressed by Derek Carr, but he is David's brother... But I don't know, he can throw the rock about as good as anyone.
I hate trading draft picks, and left tackle might be a slightly overrated position, but I just looked up Joe Thomas' contract status. He is signed for 6 more years at an average of @ 9 million per. The contract takes him from 28 -34 years old. I would be tempted to trade a 1st and maybe Clabo for him. That anchor at LT, The Weirdo at RT, Pouncey and Incognito is a pretty good OL.I doubt Lombardi would trade him, but Big Joe is an All Pro level player, signed to an expensive (but reasonable), contract through his prime. At the very least it is something we should inquire about.
Giants might have something to say about that. I thinking coaching and Eli eventually doing something will prevent it but they're still probably looking at top 10.
