mike Wallace is now questionable, were every bit as banged up as them but all we hear is the poor falcons..it's pissin me off.
Why do you care? Honestly, I don't understand why people get so wound up over what the national media says. Who gives a flying f**k? Enjoy what the team does on the field. In the end that's all that's going to really matter.
I just don't like the narrative forming that includes a built in excuse for a loss. So baker, weatherspoon, brieman, Jackson..are out, I guess 4 starters being out is a big deal.. We have three thus far, Solai, Keller, Patterson..with Wallace and Pouncey questionable.
But again, so what? Come November/December, that narrative will be long forgotten and probably worthless.
20-13 phins win. M.Ryan with 2 int 1 td tannihill 1td 0 int 350 yards. Atl struggles on 3rd downs and redzone. 3-0 baby!
I'd think Wallace is probably going to play. As long as that happens I see the Real Deal Tannehill leading us to another W. Atlanta's WRs are so good though it will be close. I'm thinking: Miami - 27 Atlanta - 24
Dolphins win 27-17 I do think it will be a beating but you can't underestimate their offense no matter how "banged up" they are.
I think we'll win too if we can keep the Falcons away from the red zone. If they get close it'll be pretty hard to stop them from scoring TDs with Julio Jones and Tony Gonzales over there.
We win then its a statement. We lose then its a learning curve. We need to win the East. Its weak. Losing to the Falcons isnt going to change our run to the playoffs. Its a blip, nothing more. Next few games will dictate where we are regarding competing with serious Playoff teams. We compete in those games then we should carry it on to AFC East teams and beat them. Phins have East in the bag if they continue playing solid, turnover free football. Losing to a few teams is the norm. I expect us to win the East. Where we go from there....flip knows!..unknown territory. Personally i hope we get the Texans, unfinished business imo.
What is all this drivel about how powerful their offense is?!?! Can Matt throw THROUGH a D lineman? Can he throw downfield from his back? Can he avoid getting demolished trying to run down the fumble he just lost? Can he play in the rain at any proficient level? Our secondary is in a hurt locker, but we only need a few seconds of solid coverage to have a powerful impact on their biggest strength. Take away that offense, and you're looking at the Jags. I think the deep threat will be minimized, but they'll enjoy some short-medium passing success. Another problem they have is getting to the other guys' passer. We have the #4 PFF rated QB in the league my friends...Tanny + solid pocket = BOOOOOOOOOOM!!! Their O line is in sad shape, so not only will be treating Matty "Crash Test Dummy" Ryan to a classic *** whoopin', we'll be shutting down their running as well. Even if they were to enjoy good success in the 1st half, our coaches have shown the grit and brass to make stellar adjustments at the half (even IF they're in love with watching TEs catch passes). Lamar "Crazy Legs" Miller will have a Sunday feast, rushing for over 120 yards and 2 scores. Hartline will have 100 yards+, but he forgot his Claritin, so his goal line allergy will get its due. Guys this game, to me, is ours to win or lose. We control this one. Hard-nosed, grinding, smash-mouth football for 4 quarters in the good guys' house. If its really rainy like its supposed to be, both teams will have some turnover issues, so there may be some nutty swings. For some reason though, I don't think the weather will be that bad. I still say Miami wins 34-31, but that may be a stretch for Atlanta...could easily see 34-21. Edit: Forgot a key point. Miami's recent history with poor play at home. I put it in the same scope as Miami's pre-2013 losing trend to both Cleveland and Indy, PARTICULARLY on the road...
It's Miller Time in Miami, Miller goes for 150 yards 2 TD's. Tannehill Throws for 300 and 2 TD's Will Davis or Grimes gets an INT and D Line gets after Matt Ryan for 4 Sacks. MIAMI 28 Atlanta 10 It's ambitious but it's the home opener we'll get after it!
