You can use both statistics. Like all statistics none are a litmus test. They just help you paint a better picture. From PFF: I'm of the school where 20-25 yards is intermediate. 30+ sounds better as a "deep" category. I know most rate 20+ as deep, but to me, intermediate better describes those (15-30 yards). Ckap killed the 20+ but is horrific in the the 30+ (so he's even higher than 60% in the 20-30 range but woefully bad in the 30+ range). Brees is obviously the deep ball king. That's why I find separating the two even more useful than one catch-all category.
