Shoes would be proud. Keep those shoes tied boys..from the signs of discipline we saw last week from the leadership council getting Matthews out of trouble, to playing the game fair and square, these young dolphins are coming up the right way.. Mike Wallace likey his new team..dude was smilin all game, it's photographed in my head.. I believe the question posed last week by some media members was a challenge for Joe Philbin and whether he could right the ship in the locker room..he's got his team playing hard, smart football.
0 penalties. 2-0. 2-0 on the road. Winning with pressure or coverage. Winning with 2 & 3 receiver OR winning with our 1 receiver and TE. I don't want to hear anyone else question Philbins hold over the team.
as long as their equally blind, im fine with it. alos, i think they really blew the call on reggie wayne that cost the colts a TD...so im fine with them..
I think there was also a blatant PI that was missed. Not complaining, though. THe refs let them play.
This speaks to me of a HC who instills discipline and pays attention to every minute detail of winning a football game. I think we've got ourselves a HC folks!
I am sorry...but these games are so much more enjoyable when they let them play a bit. Nothing slows these games down more than flag happy crews who love face time on TV and take each penalty as an excuse to huddle up and take forever to make a decision. You could literally call a penalty on every play, it does not mean that you should
For Want of a Nail For want of a nail the shoe was lost. For want of a shoe the horse was lost. For want of a horse the rider was lost. For want of a rider the message was lost. For want of a message the battle was lost. For want of a battle the kingdom was lost. And all for the want of a horseshoe nail. "keep those shoes tied boys..."
Settle down there fella. Lets not forget Tony "Meathead" Sparano had this team 2-0 in 2010. How did that turn out? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free
Yeah, they missed a couple of PI calls. Not just in our game. Seems like they are allowing a lot more hand contact than the last few years... Good observation, FFG...
They were letting them play. I thought we got away with one with R Jones. But how in the hell does a ref come out from under that hood, walk out on the field, not make a decision on a call and pick up the football and randomly place it back. That was garbage. I'd love to know that rule.
Philbin really seems to have a firm grip on the team. They play hard, they're playing more disciplined and there are a lot of guys on the team displaying leadership. That all starts with Philbin. I wonder how much of this has to do with the new practice schedule. The team seemed much more focused and fresh in the second half.
This team is not going 1-7 at home. Comparing this team, to that team is like comparing apples and elephants.
No holding penalties? In the game? Including special teams? I thought I distinctly recall the Colts getting at least one, that called back a punt return? If the final outcome had been different in the closing minutes, as Luck was driving down the field, I doubt I would be as accepting of this officiating leniency, given what I saw occur to our defenders, as they struggled toward Luck, with their linemen in tow.
