This IS the official Miami Dolphins Week 1 Game Day Thread !!!

I'm so excited for tomorrows game. here is what I hope to see:

1) Our great defense show up with QB pressure and turnovers, but we MUST hold up against the run first

2) Contributions from the rooks. Not sure if Will Davis or Jamar Taylor are playing, but the Dions (sounds like a 50's a cappella group) could chip in.

3) The unveiling of Lamar Miller. Hope there's at least a couple highlight reel plays.

4) The real playbook. C'mon Sherm, open up the throttle.

5) A DEFINITIEVE win. If we win definitively, I'll consider us having a good chance over the next four games vs better opponents. If we barely win, then it won't raise my hopes. If we lose, I'd have to think we'll drop more than we'll win of the first five.

 

Davis and Taylor are officially ruled out

 

I almost feel bad for them. Most of em don't even see the beat down coming .

 

The Browns vaunted rushing attack has been ruled out.

Ive been fin fan since i was born, and begun to actually follow them during the 2007 season. I've found this board early 2008, and have been addicted ever since. I've sucked up so much information from you guys its unbelievable. For the past 5-6 years i have been both excited, and let down. I've both been a Ireland supporter and hater. I've been hopeful and doubtful before every season. But I don't know man, something just feels different this year. Maybe I am wearing aqua colored glasses, but damnit this year feels right, and its about damn time Miami steps up and kicks every freaking hater right in their biased hating faces!

Lets start this year right by shutting them obnoxious Browns fans up on that stupid message board, and being the team that starts the browns 2014 draft discussions for those a**hats! I cant sleep and wont sleep until 4 o clock when Miami beats the living Hell out of the browns in the trenches! LETS GO MIAMI DOLPHINS! PHINS UP!

 

I hope that outcome is better then that musical choice *ducks*

 

Up and at'em here in Cleveland. Pretty solid Dolphins contingent here. Very impressed. Hopefully we will all have something to cheer about.

about the Browns... I am a little worried about some bad tackling we saw in the pre-season and the way a guy like Richardson, tough to bring down, could exploit it.

I am also curious about the D in general and the LBs... we have two new guys, Ellerby and Wheeler, with different skills, so maybe we'll see a different D from last year....

and about our LBs covering/blitzing, I don't know the Browns very well: do they have a good TE, that could give us real problems?

 

Let's go offensive line! Give 'em a shot that straightens'em out! Get leverage! Keep your feet moving! Stay engaged! PUSH 'EM! Knock'em on their a*ses!

If I`m not mistaken we lost 4 straight games to the Browns. That nonsense must stop today ! Its Game Day folks wooooohoooooooo.

Somehow I'm up this early after attending a buddy's bachelor party last night. We found a bachelorette party and made it into one big group and I don't remember much after that. But, I've got the Jack Daniels ready and I find the level of weirdness in this thread to be a completely appropriate transition from last night into this morning. Thanks SICK. Go Dolphins!

 

Four times in my life I was hurt, disgusted, sick to my stomach, and near ready to write-off football and the NFL altogether, and of course, all Dolphins related:

1) Snow plow.
2) Miami playoff loss at S.D. after being up 21-3 (I believe) at the half.
3) Marino blows his Achilles.
4) Jags 62-7 win in the playoffs.

There've been many other disappointments along the way, but these really stick out. This is the first time I've been truly hopeful and optimistic about this team's future since pre-JJ, and I'm about to break something with excitement about this season. Could it all come crashing down? Of course. Will it? F*** NO! It's time fellas...if this team can live up to it's potential, and I totally believe it can, then all of that crap will be erased for me. Not forgotten, but cast aside.

I believe the Steamers will go up a quick 10 points on us, since we'll start off sluggish, but then we'll end up getting our s*** together and taking it to 'em on both sides of the ball...

Damn... I'm hungover today. Got into it pretty good last night watching Michigan beat Notre Dame (What a beautiful thing!) I'm ready for some more football though! Lets get ourselves the first Miami Dolphins victory of the year today!

At the Bob Evans in Independence, OH with my dad for breakfast. Heading to the game with my Tannehill jersey after. Got some stares In the restaurant, until a guy walks in with a Steelers jersey and takes off he pressure.
