That was the approx amount Ross paid for the team.It hasnt appreciated and it probably wont until the stadium renovation situation is resolved and until he produces a winning team.

Eh, the texans are up there and they haven't accomplished anything in their entire existance. Winds are changing (and have been recently of course) for them.

Though football is religion in Texas.

Only 200.5 mill from the top 10 it's really not that big of a gap unless I'm paying for it.

The NFL as a whole has ensured that the gap between teams isn't all that great.

Why exactly is that surprising, considering the Seahawks received $300M in stadium subsidies?

Steve Ross completed his purchase of the Dolphins at the very beginning of 2009 for I believe it was $1.1 billion. It's worth slightly less than what he paid for it.

Meanwhile, if he'd slammed the entire wad into a basic S&P 500 ETF, he'd have like an 80% return.

Gotta feel for the guy at some point.

Explain the Jets at #6. They've had a backup QB for like, 4 decades :tongue2:

Except he had more control over why this underperformed.

Does this ever matter to ANYONE except the owners themselves. Its not like the team or the fans get anything out of being percieved as being worth more.
