We were saying that due to the materials used, the colors will appear differently at different times and in different lighting... no biggie. I did notice that the broadcast for the Jags game really appeared to wash the colors out.

 

I noticed that as the game went on and the lighting was just coming from the stadium, the color looked more true.

 

In other words..we just agreed all along?

 

If one watches the latest Wallace interview with Jesse agler in studio you will see the true color I believe..

It's all in the way the lighting is reacting to the materials and the color and the cameras are interpreting the colors... lol... Looks better darker to me.

If you can't get the helmets Color to match the uniform Color you are FIRED!!!

Seriously, the jags team has two tone helmets that while ugly were flawlessly executed. How dare you put my team on the field looking like that.

While I can't deny that I would probably do that job for free you will have to acquire your own jock straps phinsational.

The colors do match.

 

I too thought they looked a little off.The numbers were a different color than the rest of the aqua or whatever the color is now and the white helmets looked a shade different than the white jersey.
i thought the Jags was even worse.

OMG I sure hope this is the least of our concerns with this team

IMVHO I don't care if they wear pink tu-tu's around their wast if we win the Superbowl.

 

Their "waists" too... they can get "wast-ed' later...

 

If people are complaining about our helmet not matching the jersey, i only imagine how they would react if they were viking fans.

What would Shula have to say. When perfection is the standard perfection is expected. I like the new uni and colors quite a bit actually. But I just prefer the carpet match the drapes ya know. I have always liked the all white uni and I really like these but the helmet is a whole different Color. It just looks halfass to me.

 

I think people are being hypercritical of the new uniforms. If you go back and look at the old uniforms the white in the helmet didn't match the white in the jersey either and IMO was further off than it is now. Its just really difficult to get two different materials with two different sheens to look the same color under all lighting situations.

And there you have it roller derby fans. Good enough is good enough. And if that's too hard then we'll be happy with mediocre. Nevermind those grouchy old bastards who want the best. Have EXPERIENCED perfection in every aspect of the game. We know you tried and if that's not good enough for them that's too bad. They'll get over it.

The Chargers are wearing white tonight and the helmets are the same Color as the jerseys. Just saying.

I don't know why this got under my skin so bad...maybe I just need to get laid but for the love of pigskins can we just get the easy shtuff right?

 

The irony here is that the perfect '72 Dolphins, coached by Don Shula, had one of the most egregious cases of ill-uniformity in the history of the league. Half team was outfitted in one style of jersey, the other half in another.

 

I'm glad somebody gets irony around here. Shula prolly wouldn't care if you wore a tutu if you ran over everybody else. Doesn't change how I feel about it a bit tho.

The more I look at these uniforms in action, the more I see how well thought out and designed they are. The spectrum of aqua on the numbers is nothing short of amazing IMO.
