To me, still have to win games though, this is one of the reasons why I'm so hard on J Martin.

We are soo tired of being disappointed at the unbelievable failures at the worst possible moments.

 

I liked it better when Duffy's sent me free tickets because no one would buy them.......but if we put together a playoff season at the top of the AFC East , I'll take the trade off!

 

I think he's certainly part of it. He does have an air of respectability. I think there's excitement around Tannehill and Wallace and Miller too, though. I think a large part, is the relationship with the local media. The biggest advertising for a football franchise is not commercials and charity events. Its local sports media. If they are positive, the fans are positive. If they are negative, the fans are negative and buy less tickets.

 

We'll just have to wait until game day to see if this is true, or just the team throwing out fake numbers to create the illusion of excitement, and get people interested.

They certainly were last year.

They flat out fabricated certain things by using incomplete info, reported it, and then when they were wrong it got turned into a negative. It only really started to die down AFTER Philbin, Ross, Ireland & Dee went on local media tour.

 

Good to hear!! I just got my season ticket cards in the mail. I like the new format for the season tickets. You swipe and your in. I tried out the new wifi at the scrimmage. Together with mini "cell towers" around the stadium, AT&T did a great job getting the network set up. Cant wait to see the stadium rockin again.

 

Its been a pretty cool offseason. The draft went well, we scored many high priority targets, our defense is really improved on paper. Signing #20 Jones was the highlight for me. I'm a defense lover and have not been excited about a player this much since Zack Thomas. Wake is great also, but more then adding pressure , Jones is a playmaker in the middle. We are still a huge work in progress but we made some big steps towards legitimacy this off season.

 

C'mon, seriously ? DJ surely you can't be this naïve ?

 

Yet if we start 0-2 this excitement will dissipate.

Hope is great, but if it doesn't translate into reality it fades pretty quickly.
