I dont think we should care who is on his list. We should care about getting the best possible deal for the franchise to move a player who doesn't want to be here.
I agree bro why should we care aboiut his wants when he does not care about the team and not coming to our offseason workous and is not coming to trianing camp. Jason Taylor would rather go dancing and go golfing then be with the team ok then we will trade you to ever we want that will give us the best deal. I can understand why he would not want to go to Green Bay though unless Rrron Roger can come up and be like Dan Marino on whic is basiclly his rookie year I dont see the Packers going any where this year.
except for the fact that JT would kill the deal by not showing for a physical or reporting and then he would revert back to us. those that think that JT has no power in this might want to re consider.

I yawned when I heard the rumor cause I had a suspicion JT would want no part of Favre-less Packers who are not a SB contender . He is better of here IMO .

Not a good idea. He is disgruntled, carrys alot of clout in the locker room and what this team needs is a fresh start not some Upset veteran who is going to stur up trouble in the locker room.. Move him now before its infectious..
i'm not sure why GB would be so out of the question if winning a title is what he really wants. sure GB is a small community but, in NFL terms, he would endear himself quite well if he helped bring another title to that team. if he wants TV coverage, then i would think that GB would be a definite possiblity, they are one of the more covered teams in the NFL. sounds to me he is more interested in the accoutrements than the actual experience. does he want the title handed to him?
I guess he never heard about a guy called Reggie White, that was probably before his time, and there aren't any articles in Ballerina's Digest about him... I am sooo tired of his prima donna atty-tude and the juvenile way that he constantly has his opinions 'leaked' to the press through 'inside sources'. He is going to be the most unpopular player in the NFL this year. IMO even without favre green bay is very very much in the title hunt. As great as Brett was, he made some plays that just killed them. And if he wasnt playing well, he dragged the whole team down with him. Thats what happened versus New York, Dallas. Dont underestimate them. They have a top defensive unit, what should be a very good running game, solid OL. If Rogers can just play well and consistent they wont need him to be Brett Favre to have a title shot. IMO Taylor just being a primadonna really. Does he want to be traded or not? What the hell exactly does he want, does anyone even know?
Jason can't have everything he wants, some of those teams aren't going to be interested in him and his refusal to go t GB (if he did indeed refuse) isn't going to help our leverage in trading him.
Assuming the following. 1. JT wants out 2. Green Bay was willing to trade for him 3. JT kyboshed the deal because Brett Favre retired and he's unsure about Aaron Rodgers. JT has just blown away any chance of any team trading anything more than a shiny gum wrapper for him. Refusing to even be interested in a trade to a 13-3 team just smacks of lack of commitment and a desire for someone else to just giftwrap a SB ring and give it to him because he thinks he deserves it. It is a clear sign that he isn't prepared to put the hard work and effort in. I hate to say it but after this epsiode if I were a GM for a team like Indy or San Diego I'd wouldn't trade anything for him and would even be dubious about signing him if he was cut. Trades are a bit like fishing, it helps to wriggle the bait and get the little fish interested so that the big fish will come along.

Being as his body is the commodity in question, he has absolutely every right to determine where he goes. The commodity is the person, yet the commosity must still be shown the treatment of any human being. I understand the furstration, believe me I do, but just let it play out. If there is one person who can break the will of an NFL player, it is is Parcells. Parcells very rarely loses for a reason, he is willing to give up many things just to get what he wants. It always takes more strength to be a bad bastard than people think.

Perhaps he has no 'right' to dictate where he goes, he has some leverage. He had more leverage before he proclaimed that this would be his last season, but he can still choose to retire if the trade partner is not of his liking. So, even tho by the letter of the CBA he does not have that 'right' he certainly did have the option until he opened his big trap. At this point, he's sealed his fate and is either going to stay here and play or retire...JMHO, but I don't see any other way around it for him...
Yeah, part of it is frustration. Still, the whole "He owns his body" argument doesn't hold if society is to function and respect contract law. Should boxer be seen as doing something acceptable if he decides, at the last minute and despite a contract, that he'd rather not put his body in the ring that night? That would be unbeliveably egotistical and self-centered. It would cost many people a ton of money, breach contracts, and yet it is his body, and therefore his right, no? Well, maybe in a cosmic sense he has the right but if he wants to live an acceptable life within society (and not be a jackass) then he should respect the agreed upon rules by which most citizens play. The alternative results in being seen as a hard-to-deal-with ********. So, yeah, JT has the abily to be a ******** if he wants. And it's starting to look like that's what he wants. Why does anyone bother signing contracts, agreeing to play by league and CBA rules, or give their word on anything if they think its fine to abrogate these legal and moral commitments at a whim? Jason Taylor is an ***. Green Bay's Quarterback situation isn't anything like Miami's and other than the Quarterback, who did they lose from a team that was close to reaching the Super Bowl last year? Favre wasn't exactly winning all the games by himself either. Rodgers won't lead the team to 13-3, but he should lead them to the playoffs and anything can happen in the playoffs.
Just Imagine if you're the GM for Dallas or the Giants. How would you feel about a potential recruit not wanting to go to Green Bay because the recruit thinks Green bay aren't going to the playoffs. I know for sure that if I were working with Dallas or the Giants this off-season Green Bay would be pretty high on my list of teams that I have to worry about beating to make it to the Superbowl. The message I'd get from JT snubbing Green Bay is that JT just isn't serious about winning a SB ring, and that wanting to get out of Miami has more to do about raising his post-football profile than winning a ring.
