You have to admit Outman has to be one of the best names for a pitcher. Ever.

He's an absolute twig. If he fills out at all, could really become a nice player for us.

    From last year regarding Hanley:

Trading Hanley Ramirez for Nathan Eovaldi is going to really come back to bite us in the ***. Just awful.

Understatement to say the least. Trade a former MVP candidate and one of the best infielders in the game for an unknown pitching commodity is almost never a good idea.

Especially Eovaldi who doesn't show much promise.

It was always about money, not getting a great deal. Not to say they didn't try for a better deal.

Probably. Doesn't mean that the trade wasn't awful though.

We've gotten good value from salary dumps in the past. Uggla, Anibal, etc.

You forgot the Beckett/Lowell salary dump trade that brought in Hanley and Sanchez in the first place.

Wow. This team is actually playing some really nice ball. I've watched some games as of late and they haven't been cringeworthy... in fact, quite the opposite.

A lot to be excited about. Especially with Moran and Heaney on the way. I'm really excited about next year, we're going to have a lot of high upside players in maybe every spot but SS and C.

I doubt we'd get a player of considerable upside for Cishek but if we can, I'm for it.

I think you'd be pleasantly surprised then by your return for Cishek. I think you'd get a good return. He's not super young. But he is younger. And in team control for quite some time.

I suppose I'm just applying my sensibilities to the league.

I should go see what kind of returns that relievers have fetched recently.

Neither am I, to be honest, outside of digging through the transaction logs over the last few seasons, which I'm not quite bored enough to do.

He's a future reliever. Not much of a future as a SP on this team.

So JJ sucks now. I think we had a discussion about him last year and the idea of trading him versus keeping him.

Dude was a ticking time bomb. That said, I'd welcome him back on a short term deal, some of his peripherals still look good.

Absolutely. We cost ourselves a year of control for absolutely no reason. If we were a contender then it would make sense, but since we'll be finishing in last place either way, it's incncredibly incredibly stupid.

He should have been a June call up.

He has an innings limit. He'll be shut down.

I don't think extensions are coming, especially not for Fernandez.

So so good. I think MLBTVshould film a segment with Derek Jeter teaching Qualls how to do a proper fist pump.

I think if he's dealt, it's going to either be to Boston or Texas.

I would hope they look at Pittsburgh's system and say no thanks. Lots of meh.

Outside of Profar, who's really struggled at the MLB so level so that might be a slight cause of concern, I'm not sure Texas really has enough in the farm system to land Stanton.

I'd say St. Louis has a shot too if they were willing to give up Taveras and a few of their young pitchers.

Profar doesn't turn 21 until after the World Series. I don't think his ML stugglings are concerning. Even in the least. He's just simply not all the way ready. He's got a nice swing. Good eye kids going to be special IMO.

Twins have the most top end talent but no way in hell would they trade Buxton and Sano.
