do u think miami would make this trade? now dont get ur panties wet b/c its getting more picks analyze it and think about it before you say yes or no.

dallas has 2 1sts, assuming we make our 1st for those 2, a 2nd this year and next year. REm its goin to be somewhere btw, 17-22 and 27-32 due to their good record and CLE good record. So we are gettin late round picks along wtih the 2nd this year.

    http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/draft06/news/story?id=2410670

that is vth value chart and it shows we would request for more picks cuz it wont add up but for the time being, 2 first this year, a 2nd this year and a 2nd next year...do you make that trade considering Dorsey McFad etc are on the board? reason i say those names is b/c u have to see if the talent level lives up to the quality of players that will be there in those spots u receive.

for a mid 1st, a late 1st, a late 2nd, and what is likely to be a late 2nd next year I dont make the trade for that alone. I can accept if its not at the value chart because not every team uses it and I am all for extra picks. However, Dallas needs to give me more reason to make that trade especially when its entirely possible their division rivals, the Giants, could easily enter the bidding and give say Kiwanuka (he is not a LB, sorry Coughlin), their mid 1st, mid 2nd, and a 2nd next year + future picks. thats the equivalent of Dallas' deal except Kiwanuka is a somewhat proven pass rusher and a player I love as a DE. Thats off the top of my head. But the bottom line is the package needs to include a couple of more picks even if its only day 2's, cause if even a couple of those day 2's upgrade our roster, well then its worth it to get them.

    Something like (from Dallas):
    Cleve's 1st this year
    Dallas' 1st this year
    Dallas' 2nd this year
    Dallas' 2nd next year
    Dallas' 5th this year
    Dallas' 4th next year
    Dallas' 6th next year

I doubt we will be able ot trade out i mean who does it now a days? i think the last one was the Rivers manning one correct? i mean no one did it for young, bush, peterson etc etc. I think Miami will take Dorsey or McFad. I would NOOOOOOOT be surprised with McFad at all esp. if he runs a 4.35 and below.

I would be suprised and upset if McFadden was our pick. We drafted Ronnie number 2 overall and I don't want another rb with what could be the first overall pick. We have much bigger issues than rb. I think we have to take the biggest impact defensive player available and Dorsey looks like a lock.

no one is trading with us unless someone completely falls in love with one particular player.

I dont see any way Dallas would do that. No reason for them too, especialy given how many guys they are going to lose to FA this offseason. They are going to need their picks to fill those holes.

My Cowboy fan buddies are VERY nervous about this scenario. Jerry Jones has a significant man crush on McFadden. Seeing what Peterson did this year has probably increased that love. Jerry is not afraid to give up first rounders (cough cough Galloway cough cough 2 first rounders) for a player when he thinks the Cowboys are close, and the Cowboys are close.

We will see. I would not be surprised if that conversation happens. Cowboy fans down here are saying the 2 first rounders and throwing in Julius Jones to "sweeten" the deal.

Just a quick question guys... Would we get a comp pick for Chambers next year?

We get a second round pick for Chambers because of the trade. Comp picks are only related to FA. And because we signed Porter for so much money, I doubt there is anything there for us.

I think Barber is a RFA. A team as bad as the Dolphins obviously has alot of holes. Trading down to get more picks is a good concept in theory. I think it'd be hard to screw up drafting Glenn Dorsey. With the awful management the Dolphins have I think that he is the safest pick and the best pick. With two 2nd rd picks and one essentially a 1st rd pick due to New England cheating if the Dolphins were inclined to move up to draft somebody in the late 1st rd they could.

I think Zach Thomas may have played his last game and Jason Taylor is up in age. Ronnie Brown was breaking out this year and they really need him to next year. This team has no star players if Taylor is gone next year and Brown is slow in recovery.

There 2 first won't be enough, even if they threw in Jones (who is a free agent anyway). The conversation BEGINS with their 2 firsts, their 3rd and a 2nd in the '09 draft and even that might not be enough.

    amazing dumb.

There are several good running backs in these draft. Not all can be talked about since they are not Seniors.

Dallas would have to trade their two 1st this year plus next year's 1st plus. Would I take it???? Sure I would! Would Dallas make the offer?? Nope

Every year people get a few players on the brain because of media hype. Those players are not who the NFL GM's look at. I doubt that McFadden will be a top 3 pick and could fall further.

McFadden plays for a team that runs the ball like the old USC, OU and Neb did. Their "other" running back Felix Jones who will be drafted right after hin has over 1,000 yards on 9.1 ypc, much better then McFadden's. Kevin Smith a Jr. has over 2,400 yards.

We ran for 5.1 ypc so far this year. Would having McFadden as another running back increase that to 5.3?
