Best nugget, Sherman kept Tannehill in the pocket, didnt run the zone read stuff til later in the year, wanted to get him thru thru a 16 game season..
Yah it was good, Deej. It got me excited about Thigpen as our return guy too. But definitely, good to confirm the coaches had a plan to protect Ran and let him develop in the pocket for the first 2/3 of the season before opening up more read option. This season I expect a faster paced offense, more play variety, and more read option. I pray we keep him healthy. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
What's interesting is we should of really won 9 games, while developing a very raw Qb, and limiting a gameplan.. Also how seriously Tannehill is taking the leadership angle, it doesn't seem like he has natural leadership skills, but that's not keeping him from learning how to become one, maybe he'll break the mold..He flew to see Chad Pennington this offseason to study it specifically, If Pennington was anything he was a phenominal leader..
I only think Sherman will use the read option when he thinks he can exploit the middle of a defense, I've watched most of Ryan's reps in college, Sherman was pretty selective. I'm all about the risk though BK, I think it's worth it, but I also think Ryan's strength is clearly from the pocket so, a little bit more than last year and I'm good.
not sure what to say about this. to me he has natural leadership skills though they are raw. I would say he is looking for help in refining not developing those skills
That was neat to watch. Sherm really liked Reggie. LOL @ Rizzi mentioning Thigpen being a top 5 guy in punt return average (of course, he only returned like, 3... the rest he just let bounce) OT: NFL.com has to be the worst major sports site when it comes to streaming video. Are they actively trying to crash folks' computers?
i thought it was just my iPad, took an hour to load and sh&$, what is that Meister, is there not enough megabytes or bandwidth on their site?
For a team site/show, that was pretty well done I must say. Glad training camp is around the corner. When did Kevin Coyle get the tattoo? Don't recall him having that in Cincinnati with the Bengals or even last year.
I've been saying that all offseason as well brudda, when you watched the games you saw an athletic Qb told to stay in the pocket, it had nothing to do with health, had a lot to do with reading the field w/o gimmicks. He did not have an RG3/RWilson shortcut to rely on.
Kevin Coyle on Cameron Wake "I wouldn´t trade him for any player in the NFL" but he clearly meant not any Pass Rusher, would you ?
Well...who would you trade him for, on defense? For me, maybe Von Miller, maybe Geno Atkins, maybe Patrick Willis. It's a tough question and I feel like I am likely to be biased on it. But he's very good.
