I've seen this a couple of times this offseason from players.......young guys and veterans alike. Philbin has done an incredible job, instilling his team how he wants, getting everyone to buy in, and has established one of the better young teams in the league. I see no reason why he, or this team WONT have success for a long time here. I am so thrilled hes our coach.

I think every single team in the NFL has the same goal of winning the SB. I am sure Jordan would have made this same comment, no matter which team had drafted him.

The fact is that if you have a HC who isn't committed to the goal of his team winning the SB, he shouldn't be a HC in the NFL to begin with.

 

Don't know if it's been mentioned but there's a good reason to try and get him into camp on time.

According to CBA rules, if he signs his contract while camp is in progress, he has to go without pads for three days before you can strap pads on him.

That happened last year with Ryan Tannehill but it really didn't matter because Tannehill is a quarterback and the quarterbacks wear the red/blue/yellow/whatever practice jerseys anyway, nobody allowed to hit them.

But with a pass rusher like Jordan who hopes to maybe get in as a SAM or WILL on base downs, it matters more. Essentially even one day of training camp lost equates out to four lost days.

 

Is his shoulder even healed enough to be in pads?
