The original Doink The Clown, back from he was the evil clown when the character was interesting and cool, Matt Bourne apparently passed away. He was actually a pretty talented wrestler.

Yeah, Bourne was a great worker, actually.

In sort of related news, Jimmy Snuka is being investigated again for his role in the death of his girlfriend 30 years ago.

He wouldn't be the first Wrestler/Murder I ever met. Chris Benoit almost hit me with his car.

Man RAW was boring. Can we sign something to make sure RAW is never in Iowa again, the crowd was terrible too. I do find it funny that almost every match on RAW had a non finish or screwy finish yet the one match where there should be the non finish (Cena/Del Rio match) it was a clean pin.

At least the Wyatt family debuts next week and it was nice to see a promo for them close the show. I'm very interested in seeing how they're booked.

Everyone knows I'm not a Kane fan by any means but his stuff backstage with Daniel Bryan is always gold for some reason. Much credit to both of them.

And really another GM performance review? Can the McMahons and Triple H just go away already?

Yeah, that crowd was terrible and seemed to deflate the wrestlers as the night when on.

Very oddly paced show. And having the show end with a promo for the Wyatt's was...just weird. I'm looking forward to them next week, but odd to have a go home show for a PPV end like that.

Also, Sting may be flirting with the WWE again. Call me nostalgic, but I still want to see him go there. Vince has had a hard on for him forever.

I'd love to see Sting in the WWE too only I think he'd be a bit out of place now and they'll probably book like much like Goldberg/Booker T. and have his legs cut out from under him by having him job to WWE only guys. Which is one of the main reasons why Sting never jumped and has said so in numerous interviews.

The perfect time for him to have jumped would have been in the early 90s though, after the Hogan Era was over wrestling guys like Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels, Razor Ramon and then Attitude era guys like Triple H, Undertaker, Foley, Austin, Rock etc.

I just can't see Sting in the WWE as much as I'd still want him too slow up. Sting vs. Punk, Sting vs. Triple H, Sting vs. Cena, Sting vs. Lesnar and of course Sting vs. The Rock or Sting vs. The Undertaker are all money matches. I'm just hopeful one day Sting will get a DVD/Blu-Ray release, probably once he gets into the HOF.

Sting vs. Undertaker at Wrestlemania is the money match, imo. I think you have to have Taker almost be the heel there though. Have him show up in or around the Rumble demanding to know who will challenge him this year, only to be met with silence. He does this a few more weeks where he interrupts matches of potential competitors (Ziggler, Punk, etc.) and then have him snap in the third week with full on assaults from Taker throughout the broadcasts. Spooky lighting and blackouts throughout until the end of the show when the lights go out again while Taker is cutting a promo in the ring and when they come back on, Sting is in the ring, holding a bat, pointed at the Deadman.

Taker rolls his eyes and starts his throat slash as Sting hits him gut with the bat, whips him into the corner > Stinger Splash > Scorpion Death Drop and leaves the ring.

If they could pull something like that off, I would give them my money in a heartbeat.

Also, a part of me wants HBK to come out of retirement for one match against him too. My two favorite wrestlers growing up that never faced each other? Yes please.

That would be flat out amazing. However it would kind of kill it for me because I'm tired of Undertaker in WM matches you know he will win regardless of how they hype it up.

Even though you knew The Undertaker was going to win his matches with Shawn Michaels, Triple H and CM Punk were still freaking great. The outcome isn't important as long as the match itself is good.

Of course from a business perspective there's zero money in having him lose a WM match, especially to an established guy and the risk is too great to give a rookie the rub. Just enjoy the ride.

They were great matches but I'm huge into stories that can go anywhere. Once a story goes stale it sucks the fun from it. For example HHH vs Undertaker was great ring work but if it leads nowhere and you know the outcome...is there a point to it? Every time HHH was about to finish Taker you knew it wouldn't happen. It sucks the imagination out of something that is already scripted.

It's just my 2 cents. All I'm saying is a match where you don't know the winner ends up better than one you can predict if the ring work is equal.

Depends on the match I think, but generally speaking yes. I mean if every match can be like Cena/Punk from MiTB in 2011 then yes absolutely wrestling would be perfect.

  24. Samphin

Samphin Κακό σκυλί ψόφο δεν έχει

The point to those matches was the fact that there were times where you THOUGHT Taker might lose. That's what made em great. Hindsight being what it is, we all know that Taker wouldn't lose and it's silly to think otherwise, but when you watch it live (especially the HBK vs. Taker matches), there was drama.

As for RAW tonight, starting off with a Wyatt Family promo, then an incredible Sheamus-Bryan arch and then the trifecta of The Shield coming next is stunningly perfect. Kudos to whoever wrote RAW tonight. The first hour anyways.

Yeah the 1st hour of RAW was the good then a bunch of badness until the main event. They really need to go back to 2 hours.

Good to see the WWE continuing on with the tradition of having the IC Champion lose matches. I'm also afraid Ziggler lost a lot of his heat with this boring feud with Del Rio (surprise surprise) and his injury. I also think the Wyatt Family debut fell a bit flat too.

And can we please please please get rid of the McMahons? They were great in the late 90s but now it's just crap. And the rumors of them being a big part of WM30 just scare me. While they're at it just get rid of the GM too, it's old and played out.

I Hope the Husky Harris chants when Wyatt was standing over Kane is just a one time. Because if it continue each week then the announcers might have to acknowledge it when You know they don't want to.

  28. Samphin

Samphin Κακό σκυλί ψόφο δεν έχει

I am of the opinion at it fell a bit flat too. I didn't like the reporter stuff leading up to it, as I thought they could have accomplished the same Wyatt promo (which was very good) without that gimmick. Also, I would have liked it better if, upon the end of the promo and the lights were out, when they came on, the two boys were already in the ring beating on Kane while Bray rocked in his chair, smiling on in approval. Then have them EXIT to their theme song and lantern.

I don't mind the McMahon stuff. I know I should, it it is such a small part of their show right now and the fact that they are poking fun at their own power structure amuses me. Ad if the end game is Vince officially handing the reigns over to HHH, so be it.

The Shield is rudderless right now. I guess there is only so much you can do with a three man team, but still. They seem like an afterthought.

Daniel Bryan is carrying the show right now. And you know you are having a bad night when Mark Henry runs circles around you on the mic. Cena sounded like a pandering idiot and Mark called him on it....as did the fans.

Yeah The Shield really have nothing to do right now and with the Wyatt Family attacking Kane, perhaps the rumored Taker/Kane tag match at SS is off. Ambrose will most likely win the MiTB match and still has the US title so he will be fine for now but Rollins/Reigns tag team just has nothing. Mostly because the WWE ignores the tag team division. I guess they can always throw Sheamus and Orton as a team for awhile. I think it was a mistake for the WWE to have them wrestle each week on TV, just having them wrestle at the PPVs for now makes them more special and when they do wrestle on RAW/Smackdown it would be treated as a big deal.

For being a top guy for sure long you'd think Cena would be good on the mike but he's terrible and gets exposed big time when guys like The Rock, Punk, Jericho and yes even Mark Henry are on opposite ends. Even though the WWE is PG now I just don't see how 8 to 10 year old pop for the poopie jokes he continues to make. I just don't understand why Cena is still so over with the younger crowd and has been over for so long.

Hey I have no problem with people who pay their hard earned money to chant and go crazy, the best shows are the ones when the crowd is red hot like Miami after last year's WM that MADE Daniel Bryan a star or the NY crowd after this year's WM signing Fandango's theme. I just wish they would show a little respect to the wrestlers sometimes. I mean any idiot with a computer knows Wyatt was Husky Harris but a little more clever and stop the "WHAT?" chants too.

The thing I hate about chanting old names of wrestlers is that I try to envision them as a new character within a story. When they start chanting the names it brings THAT to the front of my mind instead of the current action even though I know who they were regardless.
