Let's just forget how LeBron even put this team in that position where Ray can hit a clutch three. LeBron ****ing outmanned everyone tonight.
I think if you're San Antonio that might take the wind out of your sails. I mean imagine. You had a huge lead that disappeared in an instant, went back up in the waning moments and had your heart broken, had every chance in OT and failed.....and now you have to come back for a game seven on our court again. I could see their tank being on empty. Then again maybe it motivates them.
Veteran team or not the Spurs are human...they had the trophy in their hands and had it Ray Allened away. IMO the Spurs will be deflated on Thu.
Game 7 is gonna be a lot of fun if youre a basketball fan. On one hand SA may be deflated and Miami will be amped. On the other hand no way parker shoots for 6/20 or whatever again....
You realize Lebron outscored SA by himself through most of the 4th quarter right? Then yes he missed a three (that isn't choking at all. Percentages say you WILL probably miss that three) but then nailed a three to even put Allen into that position? Lebron and Bosh manned up. Allen hit the huge 3 to tie it but Bosh and Lebron put him in that position.
Honestly I don't see why not. They played ridiculously good defense tonight, it isn't like he was open and shooting bricks. If we can't maintain that defensive play of course he won't though.
Hes an elite player. Hes not shooting 30% again. Just like Timmy isnt going 13/17 again. At some point the percentages even out a little, especially for players at that level.
I also think on the other end if you are Miami it strengthens your resolve to finish this series off. You just pulled victory from the jaws of defeat. I'd have to imagine no-one will let down the intensity.
Who else in basketball history could score a triple-double while defending the opposing PG who is the best in the league, while getting no rest, while getting hated on every second of the way? Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk 4 Beta
It very could. Miami could also come out flat as they have done a few games this playoff run. Theyre probably the only team that could be in this position consistently going win-loss-win-loss as theyve done for the last 10 or 11 games
I think when you make it that difficult on a player they are going to struggle. No he probably won't shoot 30% again but with the same defensive intensity he probably isn't shooting over 45% either unless he has a ridiculous game where he's on fire. Always possible. Duncan could have the same game again if he gets the same shots. He honestly didn't do much spectacular, just a lot of shots right around the rim and easy put backs. He did make a few nice fade away shots but they were the exception to his night not really the rule. I'm more worried about Green coming back to life.
In "our" terms it's like being HU for a main event braclet...you have your opponent 2-1 on chips, you hold AK vs his A10 with all the chips in the middle...he hits a 4 card straight on the end with his 10 and now has a slight lead on you. Hard to focus on playing great poker in that spot, ofcourse there is always the chance you pick up AA.
I get it and could see you being right. I just have too much respect for the Spurs to believe it til it happens.
It isn't like we havent blown them out already. They blew us out too obviously, I'm just saying even without tonight factored it isn't insane.
I just want kick that Spurs bench player with the towel in the nuts. Every time they score, he waves that stupid towel like they just won the championship. Am I the only one who wants to strangle this guy?????
Well if you can't trust a one-eyed, peg-legged, 74 year-old, tranny on discount night, then who can you trust really? (No one get take fake offense, Magic is still alive)
That is like....his only obligation to the team. I'm honestly not sure who you mean, I've seen him doing it but never pinpointed who it is. Does anyone know what the crowd was chanting when we were down 13? It sounded like "(Blank) Sucks!"
So if Miami wins the series is Lebron MVP? He's been up and down but came up when it was needed most. Or does it go to whoever steps up game seven?
I ask because tonight was the first game he really controlled and only at the end. He played well in other games but wasn't really himself. Even scoring 25 last game he was pretty bad offensively. Game one was probably his best game before tonight and that was a loss. Though I feel like I'm forgetting game four.
