I saw the title of this thread and just knew eventually my name would come up. I'm just incredibly disappointed it wasn't FinD who started it!

Here's the key to retaining a full head of hair. Find a hot tub like in that movie and go back to the 80's. Wake up at 2 pm, do a bump to get going, head over to your rehearsal room, do a few more bumps, smoke a joint, travel to the club, have a few shots of Jager, bang your head for an hour or two onstage, have more Jager, choose a whore from the crowd, do what you will with her, then pass out and sleep till 2 pm the next day and start the process over again because you're gigging 4 nights a week and not working a day job.

Other than that, I have no advice.

I'm much more surprised that you're 26 and that big a fan of Bruce than that you're 26 and losing hair.

I've heard a lot about Saw Palmetto. Aside from that, one of the bunch of Rogaine's out there or spending 10k on a hair transplant, you don't have all that many options.

 

I've lost a little bit of hair, but nothing like my brother. I have dealt with gray hair since I was like 19 though.

 

Use Walmart Rogaine and Propecia. Walmart's brand is $19 for a 3 month supply. Get generic Finasteride using your health insurance and get a pill splitter. Propecia is about $100/mo and comes in 1 mg pills. Finasteride (proscar) comes in 5 mg pills and is the exact same thing. Split them in fourths and your $5-10 copay will cover you for 4 months.

I started losing my hair around 23/24. I'm bald now. I've got so much more ***** with a shaved head than when I had hair. Scientifically the 5-DHT which makes you loose hair also makes your dick big. Don't worry about it man. Get a Gillette fusion. Save money on barber's visits.

 

Luckily avoided the thinning hair. However I did start going gray haired at 29. Luckily its been slow and at 36 it's still very mild.

Look at your johnson. It should be bigger from the 5-DHT from the start. If not, I don't know man. You might just have more chest hair and unlucky.

I'm 34 and I started to recede at about your age. Just runs in my family. I shave it all the way down with a razor. Bald is beautiful!

And we're more aerodynamic.

 

I'm getting really thin on the top too, it started in my late 20s. I just shave my head now. Not quite all the way to the skin though for me but close. Don't try to figure out why it happened, it won't make sense. My dad had better hair than me to the day he died. Even after chemo his hair was coming back in really well. There is thin hair on my mom's side but it seems like mine is worse than my uncle's who's the only person on that side I really have to go off of. There are women out there who will probably favor dudes with good hair. Just realize that there are plenty who don't care that much if at all and move on. Shaving your head shows that you're comfortable with it and don't give a **** about it and I think a lot of them like that.
