Looking like PS Plus may be required to game online (MP) on the PS4. No big deal to me if so.

 

I didn't get thy, but if it is, NBD to me. If it takes a $50.00/yr subscription to get Live quality MP, then I'm in.

 

Between discounts and free games, it's been worth it for me so far IMO. Even if the "free" games are technically just rentals.

 

And Destiny looks awesome to me too.

Ya PS4 wins so far, no real restrictions and 100$ cheaper. Most xbox exclusives also on PC and COD/BF4/Titanfall just time exclusive. So ya...

Yup. I am not a fan of the Japanese RPG's....but Sony just put a big headlock on MS with price, lack of restrictions.

MS better drop their restrictions ASAP. They might also want to start throwing a game in with that price or they aren't really going to compete here.

I got a 360 on launch this year and didn't get a PS3 because money has been tight. Sony so far just seems to be doing it right this generation, and when I buy a new console eventualy it will definitely be the PS4.

This commercial was just brilliant, though.

 

Well I had planned on getting the XboxOne and my Roommate the PS4 and we'd just play on each other's consoles for the exclusives. But unless MS shows some humbleness soon and does something to even the price gap/restrictions (granted the restrictions don't affect me...but it does others)...we might be going 2 PS4's here.

 

The price is what it is, MS won't be changing it now.

 

Could someone put the Destiny gameplay footage on here when they come out with it? IGN is a mess when it comes to that.

I really like The Division and FFXV so far, but I grew up playing Final Fantasies.

I know that. What I'm saying is they need to add something to account for the price difference. Add a game or something...otherwise the price difference is going to make me go PS4 just because I can pretty much pick up a game and their online service for a year for pretty much the same price. It's $$$ value. MS's $100 increase is looking like a Kinect thing....which really backfires here. If they wanted Kinect on there so bad...they should have eaten the cost. I don't have the cash for pre-order till my first pay in July...so they have until then to change my mind (cause I dig Quantum Break/Ryze/Dead Rising 3 so far...but $$'s is $$'s).

I mean really...how much would it break their backs to have say Dead Rising 3 tossed into the price for example?. A drop in the bucket that could easily be recouped by cutting off the flood of Xbox fanboys heading to Sony if they don't. At this point it feels like MS and Sony swapped places from last gen. MS is doing the dumb crap this time.

Wow, despite not being a Sony gamer since the original Playstation, Sony has made it VERY easy for me to pick the PS4 over the XboxOne. Or maybe I should credit MS and the crazy DRM? Their forcing every XboxOne buyer to also pay for a Kinect? The $500 XboxOne versus $400 for the PS4? I guess this gen of consoles will be about MS learning a hard lesson about hubris (just as Sony did with the PS3).

That Sony game sharing video was epic.

 

PS4 is more then $100 cheaper as you need a Xbox Live account if you don't have one, so its PS4 for me.

 

Microsoft has a solid conference.

You need a PS+ account to play online for PS4 so it's pretty much a wash with Live now.

I hear PS+ is a pretty good deal anyways due to the games they throw your way with it.

 

I for one am jazzed. Had a NES, Genesis, PS1, N64, PS2, XBOX, and PS3.

Honestly, my best gaming memories all happened on Ps and Nintendo systems. Can't beat FF7, and Goldeneye. Xbox was fun, but I love my play stations. I'm hoping the PS4 will put Sony back in the limelight, and give me the best of a generation again

 

I get to remain a loyal Sony guy and continue to shun everything Microsoft.

This is a good day for me.

 

The biggest problem with their logic is hardcore gamers are PC gamers. Consoles have always been for casual gamers, and Microsoft is stupid if they think the Xbox One can change that.

Ok I got MS's day 1 launch list. Can't dig up Sony's day 1 launch list. Sure one of you have it for posting if you could please!

Ryse: Son of Rome: Exclusive multiplayer map and sword with bonus attributes.
Forza Motorsport 5: Access to four cars tuned to the top of their class.
Kinect Sports Rivals: Exclusive sporting equipment that separates your Champion from the rest of the world.
Dead Rising 3: Exclusive Frank West and Chuck Greene Tribute Packs with bonus attributes.

Only list I could dig up so far is that Killzone: Shadow Fall, Driveclub And Knack are the PS4 day one launch titles. Anymore including the exclusive bits? Also anyone got a multiplatform day one list?
