http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/blog/e...ended-two-games-for-substance-abuse-violation Big part of their offense.. Prolly not main forum worthy but any news on our first week opponent is big news.. Might see Greg little and Davone Bess as their starters..
Good, hes a big part of their offense and their biggest vertical threat. Without him they cant really attack downfield as much. I dont fear Greg Little or Travis Benjamin...and certainly not Davone Bess.
He blames it on prescription cough syrup with codeine......aka the sizzup... Wonder if he had it in a big gulp...
true, I'm sure we'll see the appeal then, can't suspend a players play if prescribed legitimately by a doctor right?
Thing is, if he got it over the counter for a cough, he could still be screwed. Drug tests can be a pain like that. So much that I remember Zach Thomas saying that he doesn't even take medicine when he has a cold during the season.
Hmm, I don't know the specifics, but he mentioned antibiotics, and if he was sick, and a doctor prescribed the sizzle for him, it's quite unethical imo to suspend the cat and take his pay... Silver, are you gonna change your sig pic ?..... That guy was a bust.
Ronnie wasn't a bust. Especially compared to every running back we had in recent history not named Ricky.
Henne wasn't a bust compared to some of our other QB's either. He had one season where he was playing second overall football that was cut short by injury. By draft position Ronnie was a bust although he had some memorable moments.
I think he was misused. We got him and then failed to feed him the rock. At 20 touches he exploded. There were games where he was sub-10. Freak injuries don't help either.
Ronnie had no second or third gear. When Miller runs for 1300 yards this season then I will be impressed. If he can block?
I think you mean 4th gear. Ronnie was a good short-intermediate runner. He couldn't break big ones. Why do these dumb mother****ers drink cough syrup... I could understand pills, weed, etc... But cough syrup?
Not the dosage used for "lean". Whether small amounts are used in other OTC products, I don't know. But to make lean you need Promethazine with Codeine. Last I checked it was a controlled substance in the US. I think it's all good in Canada though. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 4 Beta
Good week to start Miami D/ST and Mike Wallace And Dustin Keller And Ryan Tannehill And Lamar Miller And Brian Hartline And Rishard Matthews.
so that was in week 1 now for week 2 the next one : NFL suspended Colts WR LaVon Brazill four games for violating the league's substance abuse policy. via rotoworld
While on this subject, it doesn't seem like we'll have to worry too much about ANY of the weapons Tom Brady has hurt us with over the years. They seem to think they're better off without Welker and Wooodhead, Hernandez belongs in prison, and gronkowski is going to be fighting back issues the rest of his life. It just seems like Belichick is trying to falter. Not very successful at acquiring talent, always resorting to giving other team's troublesome castaways a 2nd or 3rd chance that rarely pans out. Now I'm still picking them to win the division, but if we're pumping fists at our opponents misfortunes, this deserves a Sparano-esque fist pump indeed. I know we have some Belichick lovers here that will rush to defend him and his cheating ways.... but you can't deny our secondary is far less threatened if the guy you've got to worry about is Danny Amendola. (if he even gets on the field himself)
Knowing our luck, the "should have been terrible patriots win the division" will roam newspaper headlines and espn.com at the end of the year. Somehow BB will get his players to have a chip on their shoulder...
Well we don't play them until week 8 so that means that a few of the missing guys will be back for them anyway. My guess is at the very least Gronk will be back by then. We don't know what, if any, problems Hernandez will have, so unless he actually pulled the trigger, he's likely to be back and in shape by then... Amendola won't replace Wes, but he'll pull in a good portion of Wes' catches... As long as they still have BB and Brady is reasonably healthy, they aren't exactly going away. We'll have to be better than those guys are to beat them...
The missing guys are on other teams now, or going to prison. Gronkowski is the only one, and his issues are chronic.Yes amendola is slated to catch a lot of the balls Wes got, but he's never lasted a full season. You really think Hernandez is in the clear so long as he didn't pull the trigger ? That 1st Pats game is only 16 weeks away ya know !
