It is terrible... And of course NFL Network reaction show has no mention of him there at all. It is bull..
Bernard Pollard, Fletcher, Charles Woodson, CKap, Jacoby Jones, Steve Smith, Lance Briggs, Logan Mankins
absolute joke lost interest in the rest of the list....jacoby jones?! I love Bernard Pollard and think hes fun to watch but I don't think hes a top 100 player and I'm incredibly biased as a Purdue guy...he is a liability in coverage. Woodson is old...you can't convince me that Cam Wake should be any less than top 40
The rankings are ridiculous I just watch it to get the little tidbits I didn't know about certain players.
Pollard and Jones are riding the Super Bowl wave obviously. Woodson? Yikes, dude isn't even on a roster atm. The rest I can see in these slots. Definitely can argue well that Wake is ranked low in his though. Problem is he doesn't get to much exposure playing for a mediocre team. It will be interesting to see what rushing OLBs/DEs are ahead of him. Aldon Smith, Von Miller, JJ Watt, JPP (though he had a down year) are some that come to mind right away. Not sure who else - Wake is very close if not in the top 5 rushers.
Oh yes. For a loooooong time too lol Ever since Pharell said it might come out summer of '12, so you can imagine my anticipation when it's coming out nearly a year later than i expected. Thinking about actually buying this one as well, to support the artists and all. Would be the second album I've bought in a year or so lol.
1st Team All Pro ranked 89th is crock 'a sh-t. Will be curious to see where the other 1st Team pass rushers end up [JJ Watt, Aldon Smith, and Von Miller], and especially if 2nd Teamers or non All Pro's make the list.
So what, he's a backup WR. They essentially put a Special Teamer ahead of one of the league's better impact defenders. This is what they're saying: 1st Team All Pro kick returner > 1st Team All Pro DE
I was not saying they should be ahead of Wake for the record. I am saying that Jones and Pollard are being boosted in the ranks because the Ravens won a Super Bowl and they had a few highlight reel plays. I don't think either one are top 100 players in this league, not by a long shot.
Pouncey should make it. Wake should have been much lower in the countdown... Maybe Reshad Jones with his great play this past year makes it, but doubtful...
I was rewatching Gruden talk about Dion Jordan, and he mentioned the easy way to stop edge rushers was to use a runningback to chip them. All I could think was, "Please, use your runningback to chip Jordan." Wake is a monster. I hope Jordan can provide some support and Vernon improves as well.
Sorry if this has been previously posted, but Dave Hyde wrote about this: http://www.sun-sentinel.com/sports/miami-dolphins/sfl-hyde5-is-cam-wake-only-the-nfls-89th-best-player-20130502,0,2878957.story. He sets the case out pretty straightforwardly. Cam Wake should be higher than 89. The real story is that the Dolphins need more guys on the list. Tannehill would be nice next year... just sayin'.
they said during the show that we're the least represented team. so I'm guessing Wake might be it. Maybe one other person.. probably Ellerbe if anyone, since the ravens have 9 or so on the 100
Connor Barwin said this morning on Twitter not one NFL player votes on the top 100. So it's all media.
Its a slur on Cam Wake imo. In fact i would say its typical of the way the Dolphins are overlooked in general by national press. Cameron Wake would start on any NFL team. Pro Bowler. 89? Yeah right. Last time i looked Elite Pass rushers were the most valuable commodity to have on Defense. We've got top AFC pass rusher and he comes in at that spot. Hes also the most held when non penalties are given out. Yet he still gets it done. That rating is a Joke. Cam is hitting 31yrs old yes? Damn shame. Seems like weve only had him as a Dolphin for 5mins! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hz-Zsnoncqc http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=khayn45aVYU http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HDf6jJ5l1LY
What a friggin circus this top 100 has become. Dwight Freeney & Robert Mathis ranked 80 & 74 despite a combined 13 sacks, 45 tackles, and 2 forced fumbles. Meanwhile Wake tallied 15 sacks, 55 tackles, and 3 FFs by himself.
