I actually used to get the Reebok authentic jerseys. Last year, I decided to go with the Nike replica because I knew we'd get new uniforms this year. I mentioned before that the Nike replicas are way better than the Reeboks - much better quality. I'm actually going with replica's again this year because after seeing the Nike authentics up close, I really couldn't justify the price for one. Plus, I also don't have the same worry about getting food stains on them because they're cheaper!

 

I appreciate you taking the time to grade the draft, but you really can't get a true grade on a draft until at least three years later. No one really knows how any of these players will work out once they get to the NFL.

The problem for the Dolphins is that when you examine most of their drafts after three years, they have been getting a big fat "F" for most of this past decade. That is why they have been a bottom tier team for the majority of this past decade. Let us know how you grade this draft after the 2015 season, when these players have actually played in an NFL game and we can see how they have developed at the next level.

 

You could wash an authentic jersey 100,000 times and the numbers don't start peeling off, the colors never fade, and they are pretty much indestructable. An extra few ounces of weight is not that big of a deal to put on my shoulders IMO.

To this day I still wear my only authentic jersey-Zach Thomas aqua jersey from 1999.

 

Can we stop acting like its incorrect to grade a draft after it happened.

I mean, can't there be an initial grade that's based on how/who you picked in terms of need and potential and then a different grade 3 years from now.

Why do people feel this need to claim you CANNOT grade a draft until later?

 

I'd have to see a replica in person before I'd consider buying it. From the pics I've seen, I'm just not a fan of how they look. One of the big sticking points for me on the replicas is the sleeves just don't look right.

So it looks like TD just got a small tweak. Aside from wearing the new uni, not many changes.

 

What's weird is about two thirds through the article he switches and starts refering to it as aqua. The most intriguing bit in that article is the update at the bottom where he shows an orange jersey concept as part of the Nike promo..I wonder if that is still in the works or was it scrapped.

I actually like the new logo, colors, uniforms and all! I think personally the lighter colors really stand out in a good way! Change although difficult, is good! Or Maybe I'm just a homer!

 

Very clean. Although one thing that i could think of that i would have loved would have been stripes on the sleeves vs. the new dolphin logo.

FWIW, the highest i've paid for a Reebok Authentic was $125. I have two. A Ricky Williams Orange and a Junior Seau Aqua. They are now awaiting a frame as they are too big on me. IMO, the look and feel of an Authentic, as opposed to a Replica, is what sells me. Stitched on Numbers, Name, Logo & Wordmark. Slight weight difference but overall, Authentics have more attention applied to them, hence, better quality product

 

I agree. But good luck finding a Nike "elite" (as they're now called) for that price. If you do, let me know and I'll buy one too. I still have a white authentic Ricky Williams, Orange JT and aqua Brandon Marshall jersey that are just hanging in my closet.

 

Nike and the dolphins really had "white" as an Important angle connected to our city and history..along with the specific color blue and orange..it was truly a well thought out process..gold stars for everyone involved imo.

I really wanted to buy a full helmet, but don't have 300 to spend on a helmet so i got a mini helmet! To bad im giving it to my nephew

Waiting on new merch to hit websites is almost as painful as waiting for the unveiling. lol

 

Are the new jerseys bright turquoise or more of a teal?

I see different pictures of that jersey, sometimes it looks bright turquoise and sometimes it looks like our old teal.

I assume the lighting was making it look a little brighter at the uniform revealing on April 25, but I still can't tell.

 

Its a light aqua. Its back to our old colors.

Is it just me or does the logo look like its almost pointed vertically in these photos. It seemed on the other helmet shot's I saw the logo was almost more horizontal than normal.

 

i hear you man...the uniforms look a little different each time I see them....color, horizontal dolphin on helmet, etc.

Regarding the full size helmet, is this the first time we'll have the word Miami on the face mask? From what I can remember it always said Riddell.

i believe during the unveiling all the helmet the guys were wearing had Riddell.

I think it's always said dolphins, you can see it in my avatar. Now I guess they switched it to Miami.
