That's actually a very nice pick. Ireland is a pretty good 7th round drafter

He is a good player. Safety but played a lot of slot corner. Played the year before with our current backup safety Kelcie McCray.
Not a surprise, it was reported Miami had a strong interest in him.

I LOVE Don Jones. Played a lot as a nickel corner this year. Very physical, ran a 4.40.

Some folks really liked him, for me, small college players just have to adjust ASAP.

Enjoyable draft really, we were 27th in pass defense, we overhauled the back 7 with faster players with better ball and blitzing skills in FA and the Draft.

One thing I've noticed throughout this draft, a majority of these players are about 23 or over. I'm talking about the entire draft, not just us.

But the cold, harsh reality is that every decision maker in any form of endeavor anywhere in the world is NOT going to be right all of the time - no matter what the Monday morning quarterbacks, coaches, or General Managers think.

Here's a quote from Chip Kelly:

asked if he considered any Oregon players:

Chip being very candid here regarding Jordan. Saying they considered moving up and pretty much saying they rated him higher than Lane."
