Watching the Nfl draft waiting for the network to show Miami making their selection and the damn network skipped us and went to all the teams after then showed highlights of the teams before us. WTF the Bills and cowboys are stocking up on wrs and then you have fin fans wanting to keep a below average wr in Bess. this club is being dissed . I saw every club 's former players introduce the selection but Miami so which celebrity introduced Miami 's selecton ?
As I said in another thread the NFL network coverage was absolutely terrible from a Dolfan perspective.
Have you watched the NFL draft before? Luck of the draw and a battle of the ages for fans of all teams.
It's a joke, they didnt even mention us trading our ****ing pick. It's like "ummmm maybe people are wondering why miami isnt picking now and NO is?" Nope. Nothing. they act like its the 7th round or something. This is day 2.....the 3rd ****ing round, and they make it out to be a joke. Its laughable.
ESPN & NFLN should spend more time making sure to be on top of the picks out of respect for the players & families actually involved in this glorious moment.
Yes I watched the NFLN coverage live and taped ESPN, and this year we got completely dissed by the NFLN. The not showing or mentioning of Larry Little, no interview of Dion Jordan, and the discussion of the Jets and their crappy QB situation right through our 2nd round pick, smacked of deliberate dissing of the Dolphins. If I was Ross I would be screaming bloody murder at Goodell for some answers and and apology.
I agree ASOT. If I'm Ross I say something to Goodell and the NFLN guys. They decide to discuss Geno Smith right through our pick. Maybe luck of the draw. But, to add insult to injury, NFLN Never discussed the Jamar Taylor pick! They went back and discussed every other pick they missed but never discussed Taylor at all! That was just bad.
and if you follow NFLN coverage even at normal times, not just draft days, their coverage of the Dolphins is scant at best, and in the rare times they do talk about us, its with a slant to the negative side - if there is something to diss the Dolphins they are on top of it. It's not just the luck of the draw, it seems more sinister and completely deliberate.
not to mention the Heath Evens/Jamie Dukes slam session as well as referring to the trade up in round 1 as the Raiders trading out for picks... lol
It was day two, for sure...I started out watching ESPN on Thurs, but before our pick switched over to NFLN and never left it.... Yesterday, I started out on NFLN and then switched to ESPN (mainly because Gruden wasn't on, I can't stand him)... But the coverage was lacking by both networks this year so far...
Heath Evans is still pissed that we cut him and that his career ended against us...He's always anti-Fins, even during other times of the year...
The Dolphins had the lowest viewer ratings for their games during the 2012 season. Perhaps the NFL network doesn't care about showing the Dolphins picks on air because they figure very few people in South Florida are watching the draft anyway.
Lower ratings doesn't translate into actually less people than other markets. TV is all about getting to the most people.
No I haven't this is my first draft and probably my last . did anyone see where they posted where Miami hadn't won a playoff game since 2000 ? I thought we won three playoff games. they also posted that we only have one pro bowl on our roster . why are they being crappy towards Miami ? even if we have just one pro bowl player we need to get more talent. Atlanta had 5 pro bowl players and 11 players from earlier drafts .
I'm of a different opinion guys. I actually LIKE flying in under the radar. I don't want our players and team in general dealing with outside distractions like all of the media publicity. To adopt another team's motto for the purpose of this discussion, I simply say..."Win baby, WIN!" Let everyone else have the spotlight. I'll take wins over the spotlight any day of the week!
